A completely remodeled and rebuilt Craftsman cottage just under 700 sq. ft. which includes a large open plan living space (sunroom, dining area, living space and kitchen).
The private master bedroom opens to an outdoor deck and to the large common area. Custom bathroom including oversized glass & tile shower, marble mosaic floors and countertops, and antique vanity cabinet. There is also a large walk-in closet and laundry room adjacent to kitchen and bathroom.
Although there aremany steps up to the front deck and front door, the cottage is very private and surrounded by 3 terraced garden areas. Dial in your music on the Sonos sound system, adjust the custom lighting, and enjoy a slice of paradise in the hip area of Highland Park / Eagle Rock.
Dramatic hillside, mountain, and sunset views abound from the cottage and both exterior decks. The cottage was reconsidered by the highly-regarded architect/interior designer/landscaper to be a sylvan getaway.The interior and exterior furnishings are from his collection.
There are 2 new quiet AC/ heating units, WiFi, printer, loads of custom lighting (interior & exterior), insulation, custom blinds, new washer / dryer, indoor / outdoor speakers, 2 Smart TVs, skylights, exposed beam ceilings, BBQ, newer appliances, fountain, and a key pad entry pad to private property.

    This property is located in a wonderful secluded part of Los Angeles nestled between Glendale and Pasadena. It was within walking distance of Wells Fargo, Vons Supermarket, & CVS. There are lots of cool restaurants around the area too! York Kebab is one I highly recommend! As for the property itself it is beautifully landscaped so when you walk up and approach the bungalow you’re surrounded by all kinds of plants plus they give great privacy as well. I stayed here for two months and three weeks so I found the kitchen more than adequate because I enjoy cooking my own meals. For people who enjoy cooking the stove was just amazing with six gas burners. This place is a bargain for its location alone!

    The host could not have been more gracious and helpful. The property was extremely well cared for. The cottage and neighborhood were very quiet. The views overlooking the valley were gorgeous. Location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants in Eagle Rock and Pasadena. Plan to definitely stay there again.

    It's a bit of a walk up the path and steps but that affords a lovely view and a tranquil treehouse feel. Exceptional outdoor decks providing outdoor rooms at various levels. on the property. Quiet, perfect location on the Pasadena side of Eagle Rock. Hugh did an exceptional job remodeling, updated appliances etc., thought of everything. Miniscule con - bed is a bit soft for our tastes, however I'm sure some renters will appreciate it. That's why they invented sleep number beds, can't please everyone with one mattress. (although Hugh made every effort to please us) We will be back.
