Stayed Jul 5, 2025Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; the location was great for checking out various spots on the Cape, and the house's size allowed us to have some family visit us. Favorite local spots included Breakwater Beach, the Peacemaker café, the Brewster Store and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. The house itself has a rustic charm: antique furnishings throughout with a very lived-in feeling which we appreciated (the opposite of some of those lifeless, bland rentals you sometimes encounter). It does have a recent patio addition which is great, we loved grilling and eating outside. Mia was very communicative and quick to respond to any enquiries we had. All in all we had a wonderful time here that we'll long remember.

Stayed Jul 25, 2021We stayed at this property in late July. It’s location was perfect in that we were usually no more than 20 minutes to whatever we wanted to get to. The owner was very responsive, including getting us an clothes iron by the next day when we couldn’t locate the one that was supposed to be there. With small kids, we also appreciated the gate at the top of the (steep) stairs.

Stayed May 28, 2021Our first experience renting a vacation home through VRBO, and Twin Oaks was just the perfect one for us! I would not recommend it for a family with young children; in my opinion, I think the staircase going up to the bedrooms may be a bit unsafe for small children. We were there for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. It was a yucky weekend, rainy and cold, but the home was so warm and welcoming, we didn’t mind being inside, enjoying a special family connection, playing games, reading, and relaxing by the fire. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, we enjoyed cooking together. Most of the items were organic with all equipment needed to cook, though we did have some trouble finding certain items such as spices; my recommendation is to check ALL the cabinets/pantries in the kitchen as some are beautifully tucked in the kitchen walls). It was very easy to contact the owner. She is a special person, very accommodating. She shared all the tips to help make our stay memorable since the weather was so unpleasant. We would go back to Brewster hopefully in better weather and be happy to stay at Twin Oaks again.

Stayed Jul 25, 2020We spent a wonderful week in this cozy, clean cottage. This was our first time on Cape Cod, and were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to access beaches and freshwater ponds, all just a short drive from the house. I was working throughout the week and had no trouble hopping on Zoom calls. The WiFi connection was great. All in all, I’d highly recommend staying here and will definitely see if it’s available when we next return to the Cape.

Stayed Jun 15, 2018Not enough stars available here to rate our family's experience at this wonderful Brewster home. Prior to kids, my wife and I dreamed of bringing our family from Texas to Cape Cod for an epic summer journey. With a three-and-a-half year old and a five month old, the center of our journey was this home, which came to feel like our own. (The Journey was indeed epic and you can read more about it in the novel.) On the practical side, this house worked very well for our kids at their age. The three-year-old handled the stairs safely and easily. The five month old had room to roll and learn to crawl. As frequent VRBO hosts ourselves, we were particularly impressed with the array of supplies in the kitchen, the pantry, the laundry room, the bathrooms...well, everywhere. Then, there's the library. One could earn a graduate degree in many subjects just working through the titles on these shelves, with an inspiring kids' collection as well. Oh, and the yard. As I type this, a bunny is hopping in front of me just below the cardinals nest outside the kitchen window, surrounded by tall trees, a sizable lawn and flowers just beginning to bloom in late June. Mia responded to all concerns and questions promptly and with care. So much so, my wife and I are preparing to go out for date night because Mia arranged us a babysitter. Our family is all well traveled. With grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary here with us, Texas aunties helping in the journey, and the ability to savor all of the glory of Brewster and Cape Cod, this made for the trip of a lifetime, and I'll just end by saying we hope to be back soon. As long as you don't book it first.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969After travelling around in New England for almost 2 weeks, we (family of four with two kids aged 15 and 13 from Germany) greatly enjoyed our stay on the Cape in this wonderful house. It was everything we expected and we found everything just as charming as described and shown on the pictures. The owners were very helpful and super nice - easy in handling everything upfront and during the stay and recommending great places to go. We loved the farmer´s market in walking distance and since it was a very hot week enjoyed bathing in the Ponds nearby (especially the Sheeps Pond) a lot. The house was very clean and the big back yard a great place to relax after returning from trips during the day. The kitchen was fully stocked with everyting we needed and it was also very good to have the washing machine and dryer. We would come back again and definitely recommend this property!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family of four with two children ages 8 and 10 stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of summer. House was charming with bright, sunny kitchen. Kids loved claw-foot tub. Nice to have such large front and back yards. Kids played ball and rode bikes on property. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. Close to heart of Brewster. Loved the Brewster General Store. Kids took books out from the Brewster Ladies Library. Very close to rail trail for biking. Took in free baseball game at local elementary school (also close). Did kayaking and SUP at Nicholson State Park. Definitely recommend the Museum of Natural History in Brewster. Thanks, Mia, for a great weekend!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Really nice, comfortable house in great location. Very comfortable beds, very clean, well stocked kitchen, full size washer/dryer and dishwasher. Only thing we would have liked is an outdoor shower. Great beaches at Linnell Landing, Paine's Creek, Corporation Beach, amazing lobster rolls at Sesuit Harbor Cafe (about 10 minutes away), the Ice Cream Smuggler, Four Seas Ice Cream, Sundae School Ice Cream ( yes, we do like ice cream!), Brewster Bookstore, Wellfleet Drive In, Truro Vineyard and P-town.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We all loved our stay here in Brewster! The house had everything we needed, and felt very comfortable and welcoming! The owners are very friendly and helpful. The house's location made for short, easy trips to the Farmer's Market, Payne's Creek, Sheep's Pond, etc. A wonderful spot to stay in Brewster!
