Peaceful half-acre home near ocean, dining & shops and a fire pit

We spent two relaxing weeks in this Wellfleet home and, for the most part, it was exactly what we were hoping for. The house was spotless when we arrived, the furnishings were comfortable, and every appliance and fixture worked without a hitch. We felt at home right away.A few small things kept the experience from being perfect:•Mosquitoes: The yard was swarming, especially at dusk. Some proactive treatment or citronella setups would make the outdoor spaces much more enjoyable.•Internet: Wi-Fi signal in the house was fine, but the actual connection speed was spotty - good enough for email and light browsing, not so great for streaming or video calls.•Entry & stairs: Access is via the rear door, and the path isn’t ideal. The steps are uneven, lighting is minimal at night, and the bugs make the trek a bit of an adventure after dark. Some grading work, better lighting, and a front-door option would go a long way.None of these issues was a deal-breaker, and we’d happily return if they’re addressed. With a touch more attention to the outdoor areas and connectivity, this place would be five stars.

Lived the privacy of this home as well as the space. It’s was my adult daughter, myself and her service dog - we did not use 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but the living and dining room were perfect for hanging out. The kitchen could use some updating. The outdoor space and siting area was our fave - and - being able to walk into the village of wellfleet was a huge bonus! We are hoping to return next year however, the owner has not opened up the calendar yet. We will keep checking!

This is a great house, nice and large. it worked well for us as it has a bedroom and full bath on the main floor and there was concern about some of us going up and down stairs to the other bedrooms. Our stay was short, and we didn't do much cooking, so I cannot speak to how well stocked the kitchen is. There was an issue with the furnace when we first arrived, but the owner was very prompt with getting someone out to the house, and the heat was great after that.

Great house for young children! Good , quiet location, close to ponds!

Everyone had plenty of space to spread out. Air conditioners worked well.

This house was a dream for our family vacation! It was spotlessly clean, and the decor really gives the feeling of staying in a little boutique hotel—but with all sorts of hidden amenities for kids! There is a travel crib available, and lots of toys/books and a cabinet full of games, which we SO appreciated on our one rainy day. Kitchen and bathrooms are older but very tidy, and the kitchen is really well stocked—we cooked a meal for 8 and practically felt as if we were in our own home. Beach, ponds and downtown Wellfleet are all very close, and we loved the back patio or morning coffee and evening cocktails. Don't miss the outdoor shower, it is heaven after a long day at the beach. We loved this home and would definitely travel here again!
