This was a wonderful stay! Great location and the home was adorable and comfortable!

We stayed during the 4th of July weekend, and everything was perfect. The house is within walking distance to downtown Gulfport, and only 10 min to the beach, and close to downtown St Pete. We were in the perfect spot, close to all of the places we wanted to go. Elizabeth was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Even though it was evening Beth worked it out so we could get in that night. She was super responsive to my many inquiries. The place was just as described, cute and clean and fully supplied. We only had one issue and it was taken care of ASAP. Just an FYI that this is more of a business venture than a home share, and as such has quite a comprehensive contract to go along with it. I enjoyed the little backyard and enclosed patio in the mornings. The rooms felt spacious. Although we did not use the Parakeet room in the renovated garage, it would work for another 1-2 people who want to be separate from the main group. The Bayou and Marina are just down the road, and is a great place to walk or kayak. It is a bit away from town, but that makes it quieter. I highly recommend The Peaceful Parrot.

It's an easy drive into St. Petersburg with great museums, parks and preserves. The Peaceful Parrot and Parakeet was exactly as pictured. Everything, from paper toweling to shampoo to laundry soap to coffee filters, was already there. We immediately felt at home in the space. Even the bed was perfect for us! Everyone knows about the Dali Museum but don't miss Imagine Museum, Chihuly Museum or Duncan McClellan Glass Gallery. We loved Mangosteen, Engine No. 9, Mio's and (fried chicken) Urban Brew & BBQ restaurants. We hope to be able to return to The Peaceful Parrot for another fabulous stay!

The host, Beth, was so kind and was always there when we needed her. We never had issues at the house. We needed assistance with reservation forms. The neighborhood is very quiet. When we rent next time, we would like to be in walking distance to the restaurants and beach. You can walk to the shops and beach, but nit carry all the beach chairs and such. We were always able to find parking at the lovely beach, but would have been better if we could have walked.

Comfortable and well located

Gulfport has a strong hippy beach vibe, and this house is a delightful part of that. Houses in this area tend to be two-bedroom beach bungalows. With the addition of the converted outbuilding to a third bedroom and laundry, this property provides a lot of flexibility for a family stay. The house is walkable to the Clam Bayou marine reserve for kayaking and to Gulfport's quaint downtown and beach, with its beach bars, gift shops, breakfast restaurant, coffee shops, and nicer Italian restaurant. Overall, the house is a great spot for a family beach getaway.

Really a two bedroom one bath house with a bedroom and. bathroom built into the existing garage. Along with a laundry set up next to the bathroom. All problems were promptly addressed. Would recommend this place. Close to Gulfport beach and town proper.
