Peaceful, Cozy, Clean, Fun Mid-Century Stay! Backyard Oasis Waterfall, Fireplace

Great place to stay and get away. Everything we needed was provided and clean. If we visit the area again would be happy to stay there again.

We had a lovely time in Fish Creek! This was a fabulous location to unwind and so close to everything we wanted to do. The surroundings are peaceful and serene. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The house is cozy and well-decorated, very inviting. We loved reading in the living room with the fireplace going! The living room is fabulous for watching birds at the feeder by the awesome waterfall. No streaming video and fairly weak internet meant we were able to disconnect and recharge, which we needed.

The house was cozy and comfortable. We loved watching the birds in the back yard and hearing the waterfall. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is centrally located to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor.

Returned to feel cozy and nostalgic and it hits all the marks! Comfy bed, great location and love being surrounded by nature.

Charming mid-century home. Lots of games to choose from and the view from the living room and patio can't be beat. Beds were comfortable, bedrooms were good size. Bathroom was on the smaller size and towels could use an upgrade. Very nice that they have a box set up with everything you need to start a fire in the fire pit. The waterfall sound is very relaxing. Google Maps did not bring us to the property entrance-so if you are arriving after dark- pay attention!

We felt comfortable, relaxed and pampered at our stay. The home was clean, bright and cozy. There was so much attention to detail by our hosts that made it this way!The picture windows throughout the home overlooked a forest lined back yard with a waterfall. We really enjoyed the fireplace. It was so easy to use. The weather was too cool for us to sit outside much. Otherwise we would have used the fire pit. We watched movies that were provided, played games and made some home cooked meals. It was quiet and we all slept well!The location was great. We did have an issue with the washing machine. Our hosts responded promptly.The problem was resolved. This was a special little vacation for my siblings and me. We were delighted with our stay. We would love to return again sometime!

This is the most comfortable home that we have ever stayed in. Nothing was lacking. Hosts were responsive to all communication. Directions and check-in info were clear. Lovely home and park-like grounds. This is a home that we would happily return to in the future.

Very pleasant place to be. Inside and out. It feels very private, but is only a few minutes from Egg Harbor or Fish Creek. Hosts promptly respond to any inquiries. Beds are comfy. Sheets are cotton, so perfect sleeping. Quiet!

We had an amazing time at the cottage. It’s in a beautiful wooded setting that is peaceful and relaxing. The home is very well-equipped, clean, stylish, and cozy. The hosts are great to work with. This is our 8th return trip and we’re already looking forward to next summer.

Great location and amenities! Unique property with late 1950’s vibe but modern features. Would highly recommend it.

Overall wonderful. Nice quiet location with easy access to town by car (or bike). Checkout was a bit of a challenge as we worked hard to wash and dry all towels and sheets in time.

Our family of 4 loved staying at Fish Creek Beginnings for our first time visiting Door County. The location could not be better. Many thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay easy and peaceful. We hope to come back soon!

Perfectly clean, everything we could want in an out of the way, peaceful property.

The place was very cute and quiet, google maps took us to the next house but we were able to find it fairly easily after that.

We enjoyed having a getaway only a short drive from Fish Creek as well as the other DC towns. We loved the vintage feel and put the fire pit to good use, enjoying it with a local glass of wine! We'll definitely be back and we'll recommend to others!

The owners were wonderful and communicated with us when we were able to check in early and even stay late. Beautiful back yard! Very relaxing.

Great few days at a great place with great friends. Fish Creek beginnings was perfect. Retro 1950's home was clean and filled with many nostalgic items & decor. Had fun dancing to Glen Miller from the albums, night time outdoor fire, morning coffee listening to the birds and waterfall. Riane was wonderful to work with! Would stay again!

I appreciated the WI-FI, AC and the thoughtfully equipped everything. The waterfall and birdfedder attracted deer and an array of birds

We plan on coming back again next year.

This is our second time staying here and we just love it. It is truly a peaceful spot to be at during a very busy weekend (Labor Day) in Door County. We had fires, hung by the waterfall, grilled, bought our own records to play from Bay Vinyl, and watched some VHS tapes. We also ventured out each day for various things, but it was so nice coming back to a peaceful place. I love coming here.

The yellow cottage always charms us with its gorgeous backyard and cozy ambiance. We’ve returned to it seven times now and each time it’s hard to leave. The views are so pretty of the woods. We often saw deer and lots of types of birds. The waterfall is relaxing and the patio is a great place to hang out. It’s well located and very well appointed with everything you need for an easy, fun getaway. The host is delightful and extremely responsive. We can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay!

My boyfriend and I came for MDW and had a great time. The place is very clean which is always important to me! The bed was very comfy. All the vhs movies were fun on the rainy nights. We loved the outdoor fireplace and seeing the stars. Just check yourself for ticks as we had a couple on us after walking the trail!

Very clean, comfortable, well stocked with everything you need/want, owner communication was easy, & check in was a breeze. Highly recommend!
