This home was an absolute gem. Tucked away in a quiet, secluded beach community, it offered the perfect escape for rest and relaxation. The house itself is beautifully done with a coastal beach vibe that feels both stylish and welcoming. It was extremely comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The kitchen was especially impressive—gracious, well laid out, and perfect for cooking and gathering. Every detail felt intentional and well cared for. The peaceful surroundings and proximity to the beach made our stay even more special.Excellent communication with the very accommodating host. If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful retreat in Carabelle, Florida, this place is hard to beat. We would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely Stunning Stay on the Forgotten Coast!Words and photos simply don’t do justice to the serene beauty and thoughtful design of this immaculate home in the SummerCamp Beach community. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spacious, pristine, and tastefully appointed the house was. Every detail—from the incredibly comfortable beds to the luxuriously soft and fluffy towels—made us feel pampered and at ease. One of our favorite activities was dining on the screened porch, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack of birdsong. It was the perfect setting for slow mornings and peaceful evenings. Just a short stroll away, we discovered a large, inviting pool, a winding boardwalk through majestic tall pines, and a quiet, untouched beach that felt like a sanctuary for nature lovers.Roger was a fantastic host—attentive, responsive, and genuinely committed to making our stay comfortable. His hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel truly welcome. Our time on the “Forgotten Coast” was unforgettable. This home is a rare find, and we’re already dreaming of our next visit.

The house and development were a great fit for our family for a restful week long vacation. The area is quiet, but there are a few towns close by for food and adventures. Roger was a wonderful host and did a great job communicating and making sure we were well taken care of. Top shelf!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at this VRBO rental in Summer Camp Beach! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty, tranquility, and sheer comfort of this home. The house itself is immaculate—thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was a dream for cooking meals, with high-end appliances and all the essentials. The living spaces were cozy yet spacious. We utilized both the front porch and the screened back porch. The bedrooms were spacious and decorated perfectly. The master bathroom was a spa-like experience, and the main bathroom was very accommodating as well. The real highlight was the location; this home felt like a private oasis. The beach was private and during low tide you could walk way out or experience marine life in the shallow water. The pool was refreshing and offered breathtaking views of the gulf. When not on site, we spent our days exploring the area: Beach days at St. George Island State Park and Bald Point S.P., hiking the Otter Lake Loop and Tate's Hell S.F., Kayaking the Wakulla River (TnT Hideaway Rentals), exploring Carabelle: History Museum, Camp Gordan Johnston WWII museum, and Marine Street Mercantile. We also delightied in oysters at Hole in the Wall in Apalachicola. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay, offering excellent communication. Our stay was perfect and EVERY aspect of our experience was positive.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this amazing property. Everything about our stay from renting to check-in and check out was superb. The host accommodated our travel related needs and was so kind to do so. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely welcome gift. The home was clean and well appointed. We loaded up the wagon they had with their provided beach chairs and headed down to the beach each day. It’s an easy 4 minute walk. After a relaxing morning at the beach we’d walk back for lunch and a rest time. The home was kept cool and dark for our mid day nap with the interior shutters (along with a/c). We’ll be back!!

The house was beautiful and stocked with everything one would need for cooking, comfort and even fun at the beach. Roger Baker was the most gracious, helpful and very accommodating host. We celebrated my grandson's third birthday at this house and it will be a birthday and vacation to remember. The house was clean, rooms were spacious and the decor was beautiful. A short walk to the wonderful pool and clubhouse with a short boardwalk to a lovely and peaceful beach. My youngest daughter loves to cook. She was cooking dinner and set the fire alarm off. Roger's call was immediate and his concern for our welfare was uppermost. It was no simple task in resetting the alarm (you can't just wave a towel), but Roger was very gracious and understanding and worked with us and the alarm company to reset. The location is perfect. Quiet neighborhood and only thirty minutes to St. George's Island. A short drive will put you in Crawfordville for a Walmart and a Publix. We will be booking our next vacation at this same place next year. I almost want this place kept secret so I can go any time. LOL! I love Florida and having this place to stay just makes the opportunity to visit so much more easier. I hope it remains this way for a long, long time to come. Don't waste another second looking for anywhere else. Rent this place and enjoy a quiet, serene time away. And a rainy day on a screened in porch. It was beautiful. A home away from home, but on vacation! Wonderful!
