We booked this home for our 10-year anniversary trip and the stay was great! I am very familiar with the Townsend area but my husband has never been. We’re from the south where you don’t drive into someone’s driveway so at first we were a little sketched out but once we made it to the property, we were blown away. This home has the perfect view. The outside could use a little TLC but the side deck with table and the hot tub were both amazing. We will definitely be returning.
If you want easy access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, 5 miles to Cades Cove and hiking trails, this is an ideal place to stay! The house is incredibly charming, kitchen is well-stocked, each room has large windows with lots of natural light, and the view of the mountains is stunning. It is an older home and while updates have been made, the oven did not work and could not repaired during our stay. The refrigerator doesn't have an icemaker. One bathroom is original to the house and lacks water pressure when showering. That bathroom also had an issue with the toilet and maintence had to come out. The property manager responded quickly and offered to relocate us to another property or give us a refund. We know that these things can happen at any place you stay, and the management was very accommodating. The second bathroom had good water pressure and functioned fine. The house is very spacious with more room than the pictures suggest. It's conveniently located to gas stations, groceries, restaurants, a Jeep outpost...all with NO traffic!
Enjoyed this property very much. Nice secluded quiet spot with great views. Overall clean and kitchen was nice, except for a couple appliance issues but the owner got back to me about it in timely manner, and hopefully they resolved it okay. Good place to stay.
We loved the keyless entry - so easy ! Arrived on Sunday, found the coffee maker broken, alerted the needed people, but it took until Tuesday mid-morning for a replacement - meanwhile we drove to Walmart to buy a new maker. Immaculate inside, outside, not so : Yard had NOT been mowed for over 2 weeks, making it impossible to play Bocce Ball, and of course a battle with gnats, etc. 2 couples: one bath on each end of the house, photo misleading. Very quiet; which was what we needed !! Will we book again? Probable, yes..
Everything was fine, great location, nice View of the mountains. Only bad part neighbors has 2 big dogs ( loose )They kept coming to our cabin the whole time.
This is my second stay in this property, but I expect it won’t be my last. There are two large living areas and a very large dining table. The scenery is beautiful and has a remote feel, but is really quite close to the parkway so it is super convenient.
Loved the inside of the house and the kids loved the hot tub and game table. Very comfortable and clean house on the inside. Unfortunately the outside has not been sprayed down/ sprayed for bugs so the back porch with the table is unusable due to wasp nests. We tried to use it a time or too but two of my kids got stung. Other than that, the place was great!
We had a wonderful time on the peaceful side of the Smokies. The view, the songbirds, and the peaceful feel to the property were just what we needed! There is a charcoal grill, fire pit, and two decks (one with the hot tub) to enjoy the outdoors. The neighbors dog liked to visit us outside and there was a cute bunny and cat that were often together. We look forward to returning!
This place was absolutely amazing. It was nice, but didn’t make me uncomfortable because I might break something. Which with a toddler could happen. The view outside of the mountains and the cows were awesome. My nephew enjoyed seeing his “sheep” aka the cows in the mornings. The hot tub was a nice treat that we used to end our days. I can not wait to go back. I highly recommend this property.
This house is in a great location in Townsend, so easy to get to and the view is wonderful too. Spotless, very comfortable beds. Both living areas are spacious. The kitchen has all the necessary cooking utensils. We will rent this home again on our next trip to Townsend.
The house was lovely with lots of space to hang out. The home was clean and had what was needed to function while away from home. The directions to get in were a bit confusing. We were looking for a keypad not a touchpad. Once we figured out where to touch we were in! The views were stunning. It was quiet and peaceful! I would bring my family back here any time!
The house is laid out perfectly for family gatherings, fairly open plan, with two living rooms, a nice kitchen, and large dining table. The setting of the house is beautiful, but it is not up in the mountains if that is what you are looking for. It feels remote and is very quiet, but is in fact conveniently close to the parkway.
We loved this property! It’s close to so many things but feels a lot further away once you are there. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit, and the open floor plan and inviting space!
Property was very clean and was everything advertised stocked fully lots of room great hot tub
Gorgeous views, lots of windows and decks. Great open space for our group.
We had an amazing time, and the views were simply breath taking. The unit was clean and was equipped with everything you need. The hottub was a plus!
Wonderful, spacious cabin with a spectacular view of the Smokies and easy access to the park. Nicely appointed with great outdoor spaces.
So clean, beautiful views and inviting atmosphere. Will definitely stay here again.
The property appears to have been updated recently and was very comfortable with a beautiful view. Great outdoor areas to sit and look at the mountains as well as dine. Our party was multi-generational and it worked well for us all. The kitchen was a wonderful surprise in that it had ALL the amenities needed to dine on the property. This was a big plus due to having small children that do not do well having to wait to eat. Will visit again!
