We enjoyed our stay. Its very convenient to the beach which is fantastic. Quiet area at night with very little traffic. Its a shabby chic cottage which we really liked. Loved the beach decor and artwork. Furniture was incredibly comfy for family time in the living area. VERY clean which is so much appreciated.

Clean house and had everything we needed. Older but very nice and served our needs. Had no ocean view but beach was just 1/4 mile away. We would definitely rent it again in the future. Great owner and communication. Has its own private dock.

Great location in a vintage Pawleys Island beach cottage. Pros: The host/owner is very helpful, responsive and friendly. Location was fantastic- 5 minute walk to the beach, house has all the beach equipment you need, comfortable queen bed and clean. The screened in beach side porch was our favorite spot! It was a good value for the money spent. Cons: There are some deferred maintenance issues that need to be addressed (bathroom subfloor near shower, outside lights at stairs not working, interior paint, etc.). However, we were satisfied with our stay and felt the money spent was a fair value.

Cute beach house, with marsh views. Dogs and family loved it, especially the screened in rocking chair front porch! Perfect for morning coffee, lunch in between beach time, and late night hangout. We only turned the tv on once during our trip just to forget abouts it.

It is a much older home. That ambience made it cozy, warm, and inviting. The rooms were smaller than what I expected, but the beds were comfy. The living room furniture could stand to be upgraded because we sunk to the bottom. There is no central air. Just window units and celing fans that kept the home cool. That part was a bit annoying, but I guess should have been expected due to the age of the home. There were plenty of things to take to the beach. Umbrellas, buckets and shovels, chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels were provided. The advertising was very off.... It says steps to the beach, when in fact it's a 5 minute walk to the beach. I was VERY disappointed in the location based off that alone. There was zero beach view even from the rooftop loft. It was splinter city. I went up, but did not feel safe enough to sit on the benches. We didn’t have a colander, or sponges to wash the dishes. There were only 2 towels and 1 wash cloth, but the worst part for us... the shower was EXTREMELY small! The second bathroom was bigger but only had a clawfoot tub. The beach itself was great except you need bug spray because of the dang sand flies that bite! It wasn't overcrowded and there were plenty of shells. You could leave your stuff out there and walk away, and it would be right there, untouched, when you return. Overall, I would return to Pawley's Island, but I would find a different place to rent with accurate advertising.

The property is in need of some further repair, but they have definitely made an effort to upgrade some things. The refrigerator appeared to be new and the kitchen was well equipped & clean. The house is “old beach rustic” but worked well for our family group, We loved being able to have our dogs with us!

Clean, very well supplied, didn’t have to buy coffee etc. location as described in the ad was accurate. Small yard but ok. Tv was a challenge to get to work. Would recommend if looking for an older home.

Overall we enjoyed our stay! The shower definitely needs to be bigger and the tub probly needs to be a shower as well ! I am a bigger fellow and and I have to use outdoor shower because I didn’t fit in upstairs shower and I’m not a tub person! The double mattresses need to be replaced they are super loud and the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever tried to sleep on! Was a very sleepless couple of days! The soft spot in the floor at back door needs to be addressed! The dock is missing multiple boards on the walk way and others are getting pretty bad! This is not a rant we loved the house and location it just needs a little love! Last and final thing the fridge is terrible no shelves and the ones that are in there are on there last leg!

I expected the roughness of an old original beach cottage, but this place is falling down decrepit. main issues: one shower the size of a coffin for 4 to 6 adults is not adequate. Spend a few bucks and upgrade the shower and the add another one. Adults do not take baths in a tub. Kitchen is worse than camping. Be careful of the stair railings, children can't touch them without getting splinters- huge ones. A connector on an old extension cord nearly caught fire. Fortunately, my daughter was out there and saw it smoking and mentioned it to us, so we disconnected it. I have never left a bad review, but I think this place needs to be torn down.

The cottage itself is cute. It very much reminds me of old Pawleys. It’s clean and the living room furniture was comfortable. The mattress in my room was extremely old and not comfortable. There’s a lot here that needs attention. Screws sticking out of the wall about 2.5 inches (shoulder height), very old toilets that are approx 14” tall and very slow to flush. The floors are warped due to the island sinking causing us to either trip or ride a roller coaster while walking across the room. The only shower was so tiny no one could use it. The palms need trimming-we tripped over the fronds trying to walk outside. The steps to the widows walk were terrifying-steep and uneven. The walkway onto the dock was missing boards. Very disappointed in the description vs the reality. We left early due to the conditions.

This house is not in great shape and the cleaning person, despite us paying a cleaning fee, was a family member clearly overwhelmed by cleaning the house instead of a legitimate cleaning service. It’s an older house, honestly seemed to have structural problems based on a slope in one of the kids bedrooms, and just not clean. We bought a swiffer while we were there and it seemed like the floor hadn’t ever been mopped. One bathroom had nothing but an old clawfoot tub and the other had subfloors that were giving way and a tiny shower. TV barely worked, WiFi was slow. Square footage is no where close to 2500, that must be a number including the basement which felt sketchy and was not open to our use to my knowledge. Furniture feels old and given the cleanliness of the rest of the house a friend had to put down a blanket to feel comfortable. I am surprised this is an evolve managed property.

It was nice to walk in and have lights & ceiling fans on. Neat and tidy. Easy walk to beach even with 2 and 5 year olds. Lisa, our host was available and attentive. Amenities plenty of towels + beach towels, linens, paper towels, plenty of tp, hand soap. Beach gear too. Just bring your bathing suits!

The house is close to falling down. The crows nest seems un safe and the whole house is leaning. The shower is too small for anyone over six feet and is very misleading from the description and photos. This house should not be rented.
