The Neighborhood:

Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)

In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.

In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Utah, and it was an absolute gem! The home was beautifully decorated, and the hot tub was just what we needed after a long drive. But the real highlight? The beds...wow! They were incredibly comfortable and featured adjustable head and foot settings, which you rarely find in vacation rentals. It’s clear the hosts genuinely care about guest comfort. I’m now convinced I need adjustable beds at home! On top of that, customer service was top-notch. We had a scheduling hiccup, and they were more than willing to accommodate us, though we ended up adjusting things on our end. Thanks for an amazing stay!

We loved our stay! Lots of room for our family of 5. Kitchen was well equipped for anything you could need. Only a quick 20min drive to Red Lodge Mountain for a day of skiing. Coming home to relax in the hottub was just the cherry on top! We will definitely be back!

Perfect place for our family ski trip. Close to red lodge mountain and down town red lodge. House was stocked with all the essentials, then some. Kitchen had ample supplies, making it a breeze to feed everyone without feeling the need to go out. Would stay again!
