Paradise in Key Colony with Cabana Beach Access

This was a wonderful stay and wonderful location. We had great contact with everyone. The rooms were a nice size. The beds were very comfortable and room to enjoy a nice family dinner.

1. Over size AC causes more humidity , so uncomfortable and the humidity broke automatic lock. I’ve been a AC contractor for 32 years and could talk a lot about this but just know oversizing your AC is worse than undersizing it. 2. Barbecue grill is horrible cheap next grill that’s rusted out. Also there was no gas and no spare tank. 3. No 110v outlet at dock or outside unless you have a special 3 prong 110v outlet . Had to run power inside to charge batteries on boat. 4. We had termites invade the house while we were there. Made all of us very uncomfortable they were everywhere. 5. None of the TV’s in the bedrooms would work. The remotes were bad or broke and may have needed batteries. 6. The hose on the side of the house needs replacing 7. The shower curtains kept falling in both bathroom cheap $5 rods that don’t work on smooth surfaces. Been going on for a while because the cleaning lady knew about it. She also knew about the termites she’s been cleaning them up. I guess this owner just refuses to spend a dime to keep this place updated. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It wouldn’t take much to fix these things. I don’t get why they wouldn’t take care of these things.

The duplex sits in the beautiful Key Colony community. We have done several VRBOs in San Diego, this was or first in the Keys and we without a doubt will be returning! This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom is just what we were looking for! Although it was lacking in some of the luxury items, and did not have black out curtains like others had mentioned, it did have access to full time fishing and boating! The property was a short walk from the community club which was a huge bonus in the evenings, and near the boat rental facility. We have 4 children, ages 8-12 who absolutely loved this location (fishing, kayaking, the beach). The property, older, but well kept and very clean. The kitchen included just about everything you would need on your trip (extra drink fridge AND deep freezer for your daily catch). The one thing I would say, the pots and pans set was by far the nicest of any rental we have stayed at! The washer and dryer was an added bonus, just be sure to bring your detergent. The neighborhood is extremely friendly, with lots of families walking mornings and evenings, the property owner next door came in for the week we there and was the absolute best! He shared some great local spots with us and even treated our family with sharing some of his daily catch! If you havent figured out your stay in the keys and are looking for a no frills, but really nice stay.. this is your place! 100% will return! fun family trip to the keys. Everything about the home worked as advertised and there was great communication with the management and owner when we had some small issues come up. Would stay here again :)

The property as expected. We have been there before ?.

The property and house were exactly as described. The owners were very accommodating at check in. The canal behind the house was easy to access by boat. Would recommend bringing bumpers for your boat just because there were only a couple at the dock. It wasn’t a problem for us since we had some of our own too, but thought it would be a helpful tip for others to know!

KCB is a great area. Just a short walk to the Cabana Club.

We enjoyed the convenience of the property. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Communication with the property management team was easy and quick response. Overall, I recommend this vacation renal.

We had such a good time in this home and surrounding area. The location was great and was easily accessible. There were lots of fun and delicious local restaurants. The home was exactly as expected and was just what we wanted. We would stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much at Key Colony Beach. The neighborhood and community is relaxed and family friendly. This rental specifically was geared just for what we wanted it for - a family fishing getaway. The canal is easy to navigate. Parking for trailer on site. They have two refrigerators and a deep freeze which made storing food and drinks easy. Although, it did cram the dining area. Property was clean, free from any damages. No complaints. We did overcome some less than ideal aspects of the rental because we have an infant (no tub, smaller showers, only access to bathrooms is through a bedroom, no blinds or blackout curtains) but nothing to keep you from staying here. Just plan to shower and bring black trash bags to block out the sun. Great value and wonderful accommodations!
