Our vacation was great. The house was well kept and clean. The neighborhood was nice to take walks in. The only mix up is the email from Vrbo said different check in/check out times and bed sizes but the owners were great at clarifying to be sure we were on the same page. Overall great vacation!
Just what the doctor ordered...rest and relaxation! Great location in a quiet cove.
This was the first time to SML for us and I know we will be back. We loved this house and the quiet cove. The dock was perfect for our boat, fishing and lounging. Would definitely recommended!
We had a fantastic time on this quiet cove on the lake. Very relaxing. Made use of the owner provided kayaks and paddle boards each day. Spent hours just floating in the water.
This was our second time staying here. They had great communication. I will stay there again.
Jacqueline was an outstanding hostess and her home was attractive and clean with all the amenities to make our visit a pleasant one. Her communication was excellent and we were given answers to all questions prior to our arrival which was so very helpful. Everyone enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks even though the 59 steps were a challenge for the older generation. Would recommend this property for families with older children.
The house was great. One lofted bedroom and two main floor bedrooms and a fourth bedroom in the basement/game room. Kitchen had all the basics for cooking (remember to bring butter or olive oil!) and the outdoor fireplace was great for s’mores. The dock had wonderful kayaks and my kids loved paddling around in the inlet. The house is the last on the inlets, so you have the waters edge right in front of you. Great weekend escape from the city.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards. We especially loved the big fire pit!
Very nice home.
The property is very quiet and at the end of a lake finger. Very relaxing, but be aware the stairs to the lake are steep with no railing & lake access isn’t small children or mobility impaired friendly. Also loft has its own bathroom. Only other bathroom is on the main floor. We enjoyed our stay.
The home had everything we needed. It was spacious, clean and “lake life” decorated. We enjoyed the first floor space for watching movies, making meals and hanging out at the large kitchen table. Downstairs ping pong was the highlight. There were also games, electronic and board. The long path to the water was well lit at night. We enjoyed the upper and lower deck of the dock and loved the use of paddle boards and kayaks. The cove was private and peaceful. It was a great getaway for us and our young adult children. The WiFi worked great at the house and dock.
This property was perfect for our friend getaway week! It was spacious, had a stocked kitchen, and a good collection of movies and games. The kayaks and paddle boards were great additions.
Beautiful home and property. Enjoyed watching the deer wonder through daily.
We had a very nice stay. Perfect for a families with kids. There was lots of wild life that we saw during our visit. The property was lovely. The cove the house is located in is quiet and there is a nice view of it from the house. We enjoyed being near the dam and the all the little beaches to explore in the state forest area. Highly recommend scheduling a night to eat at Bruno’s which is near by.
I rented this house and another for my family of 12. We spent most of our time at the other house. However, Paradise Found was very comfortable and better stocked than any house we have had at SML. We have been coming here for the past 10 years. Fishing was great off the dock. No complaints. Great place.
Wonderful house at a great location in a quiet cove. Easy to paddle out into the lake for fun in the water! Everything was clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It had everything we needed and a good thing it did because it rained everyday except the day we arrived. Very clean and was the perfect location.
Closest to Blacksburg we could get for our daughters college graduation. Plenty of room and the younger children loved the lake access.
A lovely get-away house tucked into a quiet neighborhood. We loved the updated look and feel of the property. Out door decks and walkways a bit shaky but provided ample space to enjoy the outdoors.
