Stayed Jan 12, 2026The house functioned OK, it was nothing fancy. The third bedroom is really like a half bedroom with a very tiny “full“ bed. You couldn’t put a grown couple in it. There were no room rugs anywhere in the house so had to wear socks or shoes or have cold feet. The pool heater wouldn’t stay on. The two chaise lounges for the pool area were rusty and unsafe. The primary bedroom furniture drawers smelled musty and moldy. The primary bathroom window would not open and there was no vent. The primary bedroom, vertical blinds on the sliding doors would not open or close. The neighborhood is mixed, some nice houses some not so great. We walked our dogs a couple times a day but stayed off the main street because there was so much broken glass and trash on the sides of the sidewalk. The kitchen was functional but we ended up buying our own frying pan because they didn’t have a decent sized one. We met the owners when they came over to try and get the hot tub jets to function properly and they were very friendly and kind. But they weren’t able to get the Jets to function properly.

Stayed Mar 21, 2025The house was in a convenient and nicely located neighborhood. The yard and outside of house nicely maintained. The inside of the house was beautifully updated, spacious, nice floor plan and very clean. The lanai outside was a bit disappointing. The lounge chairs were rusty and torn. The cushions on the dining chairs were as thin as paper. The hot tub had sand and hair in it and there was dog hair on the floor around the pool. One of the bikes had a flat tire so only one of us could use the other bike. The ladder going down the dock to the water in the canal looked scary so we didn't use the kayaks. I think the properties manager should visit the house more often and maintain the outside as well as they do the inside. It is a beautiful property, it just needs a little more TLC. We had a wonderful time.

Stayed Jan 10, 2025The location is perfect. Nice clean property. Do not expect response /action from property manager, they respond to messages but do not come investigate issues. Water heater leaked out entire stay. Sliding glass door handle broke during stay. Kitchen has the bare minimums if you are wanting to cook for your family, we had 5 of us. One large frying pan one mini. Kitchen items could be added. Do not expect any extras or left over items from the guest before you it is clear that the cleaning staff removes an extras. Unlike our last place whose pantry had extras, seasonings, bottled water, paper plates, extra trash bags, toilet paper etc. bought by guests and left for other guests. I would seriously question what the cleaning people remove from these homes. More towels in bathrooms would be amazing for 5 adults the last thing you want to spend your vacation doing is daily laundry to have enough towels a couple days worth would be amazing. Hot tub was amazing! Pool was said to be heated however not heated enough to get in until the night before we left, very disappointed in that as I contacted this rental specifically about this. Cold pool water is not acceptable, we understand it’s based on outside temperature which we had nice days. Blinds in the master bedroom need to be replaced old unable to even close, you can tell people have tried to adjust as where they hang are broken and taped. We replaced a bike tube to use bikes.

Stayed Dec 31, 2024The property was clean and in a wonderful area of The Cape. The boat dock deck and patio area by the water could use some attention and new table and chairs but its a rental property, I get it. We had a great time. Its a great spot. We may consider this property again.

Stayed Dec 24, 2024My Husband and I stayed 6 nights over Christmas and New years. The home itself was beautiful, clean and well laid out. Served the purpose of wanting a break from our Northern IN cold. As we were about 90 minutes from arrival Roelens informed us that there would be roofing materials in drive way as the roof was getting replaced. I totally get that considering the storm season Floridas has suffered. The downside to this was, the patio and pool had all kinds of black dust / soot in the pool and on the patio. Every time you walked inside you tracked black foot prints. One inconvenience was the microwave is located outside ( maybe that's a Florida thing? ) so no big deal. The pool was only 76 upon arrival but it did warm up over the next couple of days. Hot Tub was nice and clean. Mattresses were not very uncomfortable ( Very Hard ). Home was conveniently located to most shopping / dining needs by vehicle. Didn't seem like a very bike friendly area. The view in the morning and evenings looking over the water is Very Nice. As for the Service company's hired to manage this property - Do Better!! - Clean the pool better and power wash the patio. For the owners, everything is beautiful! I would recommend some rugs at the doors coming into house from pool areas. Your floors are VERY slippery when wet. I personally feel through VRBO we definitely over paid for this property. However is was an experience for us and we will do things differently next time :)

Stayed Oct 17, 2024This property was exceptionally clean. The view of the canal was awesome. There was a lot to like about the location of the property. The television on the lanai (viewable from the pool) was a bonus. Televisions in each bedroom was nice...don't find that in every VRBO rental. Having two kayaks was great, as well. Finding the only microwave on the lanai was a little odd. There were some negatives, though. We had no hot water for 48 hours, beginning at check-in. In spite of a number of texts to Roelens Vacations, the issue was not resolved until we showed up at the Roelens office. In addition, we had no working electrical outlets or vanity lights in either bathroom for the same 48 hours. The electrical issue also affected the hot tub. Thank you to Torsten and Dan for resolving our problems. I had to buy a hair dryer for the second bathroom even though it was brought to Roelens' Vacations attention. The blinds in the double bed bedroom can't be opened or closed. It took me 5 days to get someone from Roelens Vacations to take action on my request for credit compensation for the inconveniences. Thank you to Monica for finally acting on my request.. It should not have taken that long to get a response. Overall, it was pleasant trip.

Stayed Jul 4, 2024Great spot! Gorgeous views. Short drive (5 minutes) to downtown Cape Coral, (20 min) downtown ft myers, and (20-30 min) beaches. Salt water pool was amazing and gentle on the skin. Spent most of our time enjoying the views from the patio. Sun rises in the patio space made for great mornings. You can see manatees in the water if you take the kayaks out. Inside was great, bright, clean. A lot of the home is facing water (2sides) corner lot) making it such a nice experience.

Stayed Mar 30, 2024The house was great. Anything we needed was handled above and beyond expectations. I would go back to that house again. It is very close to a grocery store and restaurants.
