Pacific Coast Beach House

Location was excellent...however lack of proper maintenance is veey evident. We observed spiders, missing / non operational windows and shades, kitchen drawers broken, torn wall papers etc.....the pictures shown on website shows excellent conditon which is obviously deceiving. Having said that we did enjoy the stay particularly the outdoors waterfront Gazebo.

This is a stunning ocean view home, perfect for canoeing or kyaking, with parks and hiking trails nearby.

If you’re a nature lover this is your perfect stay. In the property grounds we viewed seals, sea lions, otters, bald eagles and numerous other wildlife. The views from the lounge and master bedroom can not be beaten.This is a well loved home, an old school homestay, sating that it is a home to die for. It’s is extremely spacious for at least 6 adults.The showers had good pressure and were hot. The beds extremely comfortable. Each bedroom with its own en suite. We loved our stay in this property. If you’re looking for modern decor you may not agree with my recommendation. But if you’re wanting a spacious, calm space with a grand piano and you love nature definitely give it a look. If we come back to Vancouver Island we would definitely return - this time for longer.

Incredible view, lots of animals, very comfy beds. The dock felt a little insecure.

Beautiful property! Lots of space for our group of seven. The master bedroom has an incredible view! The location is a little remote but that added to the quiet time we were looking to find. Lots of critters -- deer, eagles and rabbits. Luckily, the bunnies knew to stay away from the eagles. There was also a black bear that strolled across the back of the property. We would definitely recommend this property!

So peaceful and beautiful scenery. We saw so much wildlife. Loved it here. Property was very clean.

My family and I had an amazing stay at the house. The place was very clean, spacious and beautiful. I was lucky enough to see an orca whale swimming front of the property, just in front of whiffin spit. I later found out that whiffin spit is a great place to do whale watching, as they come around frequently. I would absolutely stay here again.

Incredible view, ocean dock, spacious house with excellent sized guest rooms. Wood burning fireplace. Hummingbirds, seals, otter and lots of Canada geese. We are already planning our next visit!

Accommodated our large family very comfortably. Cool place, kids loved the beach and long pier. Saw some seals, a very neat property for sure!

Beautiful property with a large house and a big back yard. The geese are nice to look at and very photogenic, but make walking through the grass an obstacle course. Has direct access to the water. Kitchen is a good size and had enough plates and silverware for our 3 adults. Good hot water and water pressure. Easy access to East Sooke Regional Park. Loved our stay here!

Fully connected with the outdoors. Love the property and the freedom from urban sprawl. Appreciate the property managers quick responses.

The house is in a great location. Beautiful. Love the ocean views, the dock, and yard. Sadly, it's in bad repair, dated, and not very cozy. The house was pretty unclean upon arrival. Sunflower seeds on the floor and kitchen pans still dirty in the cabinets. The house feels tired overall. Towel rods in the bathroom repaired with electric tape is just one example. Furniture is mismatched throughout the house. It just kind of feels like someone went to a thrift store and got random used pieces. Strange to have random dining room tables for 4 people in various rooms, but not one space for a group larger than 6 to sit together for a meal. Not what you would expect from a $ 1000-a-night home. No extra sheets or extra blankets anywhere in the home. Not a single blanket around in a home that is drafty and somewhat cold. The bedroom suite has outdoor wicker furniture that is sooo uncomfortable. The kitchen is poorly stocked. Not a single oven mit is available. Not enough dishes for a home that hosts 6+ people. The gazebo was advertised with a listing, but the stairs to it are missing with caution tape blocking the entrance. This was not disclosed to us. Musky smell throughout the house. It just kind of feels dingy in many ways. This could be a fantastic rental if it was cared for better. It just feels neglected. Sad.
