Oyster Bay- Beaufort getaway!

Great place. Bikes were wonderful to ride around town and trails

This is our third time staying in Beaufort. Each time we have stayed at a Mermaid property. The houses are clean and in a great location. In each case, we were close to the Spanish Moss bike bath. Both cottages came with bikes and my husband and I rode every day. In addition, they came with Hunting Island beach passes and we went there a few times. Our host, John is very considerate and available if we had any issues. The town of Beaufort is charming with quaint shops along the river. Each year we have been during the “First Friday”. This entails shops being open late, offering treats and a band playing music. We balanced our days with visiting cultural or historical sites with going to a beach. We also play pickleball and Beaufort has fabulous courts. I can’t say enough about the town and the cottages we have stayed at. We plan to come back next year.

Loved our stay in Beaufort. The property was in a great location and everything was as described. Had a little issue with bike tire, but our host was on it quickly and fixed the flat. Would highly recommend both Beaufort and the Oyster Bay.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming & comfortable house located a short drive to the downtown historic district. The home is tastefully decorated and very clean. We will surely stay here when we visit the area again.

Visited Beaufort for my father’s 80th surprise birthday party who lives in town and did not want to stay in a hotel. The Mermaid Cottage was perfect for my wife and daughter for our stay. It’s a quiet neighborhood and close to my family and all the great things Beaufort has to offer.

This was our second stay at this lovely cottage which is within walking distance to the Spanish Moss Trail. It is in an ideal location to both Beaufort, Port Royal and the islands. There are many good restaurants to choose from in and the proximity to Publix was a plus. The cottage was perfect for us. The owners offered many generous amenities such as use of a bike, Huntington Park pass, coffees, etc. to take advantage of during our stay. The backyard is lovely, and the street is peaceful. It was lovely to awaken to peace and quiet with the sound of birds. We love Beauford and will absolutely stay at this cottage again.

The cottage was all as described and more. It was ready early, beautifully decorated and spacious. I enjoyed my stay so much I’ve already booked another.

This cottage is in a quiet neighborhood a few miles from the heart of the downtown area. It is also very close to fast food restaurants. There are several great attractions - we enjoyed the kazoo factory, the historic bus ride in the downtown area, a boat ride to see the dolphins, and the Pat Conroy Literary Center.

Nice place

Nice welcome with notification when the home was ready. This is a small house good for a couple or small family. Close to Spanish Moss trail in an older Beaufort neighborhood that was quiet. Several options to sit outside and listen to bird song.

It was clean, comfortable and close to all of our activities!

Great little property just adjacent to downtown. Came with Hunting Island passes which added an entire day of new things to do that we had not originally planned. Outdoor patio slab and firepit were great additions to sit by after a long day of showing my spouse around beaufort “i lived her and am trying to convice her to move back” and it worked.

The house has a quaint atmosphere and was just what I wanted in a place for a short stay. Comfortable bed and furnishings.

We had awesome stay. The cottage is a perfect getaway for any couple. The Spanish Moss Trail is only few yards away from the steps of the cottage. We have stayed here twice, i love the cottage atmosphere and the location.

Mermaid cottage is so adorable, clean and in a perfect location close to downtown Beaufort. It was perfect for my family for our weekend in Beaufort.

Stay was awesome. Love the area and the rental was very nice and clean. Centrally located to town. Unfortunately my wife was not able to come along and enjoy the stay due to an emergency. We will be back.

My husband and 2 sons were in town for my oldest son's graduation as a US Marine. We arrived much later than we anticipated but were able to get into the property with no problems. The coziness of the cottage was relaxing. Everything was perfect 👌 Definitely recommend for small families. But they have property for larger families and I imagine that place is definitely a good stay as well.

This property was exactly as pictured and was perfect for our long weekend trip to visit our son. It is close to downtown and comes with a pass to Hunting Island. Would definitely stay again!

Great cottage, very clean, great neighborhood and close to everything. Host had games, puzzles, dress up accessories for kids (we didn’t have any kids with us, but it’s a great idea). Three bicycles to ride, a pass to Hunting Island and other state parks. Beds were very comfortable. I love a ceiling fan to sleep under, it has that. I would love to stay there again. I would also give it higher than five stars if I could.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful Beaufort. The Hunting Island state park was a big plus, we used it a couple of days to relax at the beach after some non stop sightseeing the week before. Check-in was an absolute breeze and the entire place was clean and beautifully presented, beds were super comfortable and soft!
