Only 200 Yards From The Beach !! Ocean View !!

Great house and great hosts. Daufuskie is mystical especially this time of year when you can go an entire day without seeing anyone.

Beautiful and charming home but beds are all very uncomfortable.

Loved this Daufuskie rental. The house was so lovely and charming. Just a quick golf cart ride (or bike ride or walk) to an awesome beach. There’s a private entrance to the beach just for this area. We loved spending time on the swing bed reading and enjoying the sounds of Nature. The house had everything we needed for our five nights stay we loved how cute it was. Pictures do not do it justice. While sometimes it is nice to be in the Melrose area of the island. This area has the better beach and because the island is so small, you are never far away from any of the restaurants or the marinas. We had dinner and drinks at the Daufuski crab Company. We spent a day at Melrose pool. We had breakfast at the Driftwood diner and our favorite was lunch at the distillery. We also had dinner on Wednesday at D’fuski’s. And another one of my favorites was coffee from the school grounds coffee. We definitely want to come back and stay at this rental again.

Everything about the house was great for our 4-night stay. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of Daufuskie and plan to return to explore more of the island. Karla was a big help in lining up the ferry, cart rental and knowing how to get around to a couple of restaurants. Being so close to the beach was a huge plus. I highly recommend this house to others!

My friend and I took a girl's trip to Daufuskie Island, and we had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! The decor was ful of antiques and unique touches that gaye it so much character and a cozy, nostalgic feel. One of our favorite parts of the stay was waking up early to catch the beautiful sunrise. The beach was just a short golf card ride away, making it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever we wanted. The property manager was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with vintage charm!

A wonderful peaceful retreat. Beautifully decorated …and very homey. The daybed next to the window was my spot to read and nap. Convenient to the beach. Unfortunately it was too chilly to venture down there to spend the day. Next time! Bicycles are provided too as well as beach equipment. The screened in back porch was ideal for napping and reading too. Loved it. Hopefully we’ll be able to return in the fall.

Absolutely beautiful home just a short walk from the beach! It’s everything they say- comfortable, quiet, relaxing. The perfect place to unplug, de-stress and slow down. We’ll be back!

Daufuski Island was everything we were looking for and more.The house was beautiful. We encountered several rainstorms during our visit but the back screened in porch was a great place to listen to the rain and passing storm. We loved not having to fight traffic and spent lazy afternoons exploring the island. There are few places to eat but they were all great. The host and contact were great and provided so much information. The house is a true treasure.

Fell in love with the home as soon as we walked in. The house is just as described and the location is perfect - quiet and relaxing. Wish we had been able to stay longer.

What a wonderful place to stay and relax! At 10am we were the only people on the beach! We were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was beautiful. We enjoyed the art and books. If you have never been to the island, make sure plan ahead and enjoy. We hope to come back soon!

The house was beautiful! Stayed with wife, adult son and 10yr daughter. Wife and I slept upstairs, kids on Murphy bed and pull out sofa. Very well stocked. Everything available was free game, condiments, spices etc. Had plenty tp and paper towels. Location is best on the island! Private beach at the end of the street with us being the only ones on the beach 90% of the time. 12min golf cart ride from County Dock and about 20 from Freeport. Plenty of small eateries near the condo including Fryes Corner, Island Shack, D’Fuskie’s at county dock and Silver Dew Winery was just around the corner. Can’t wait to come back! Oh, and Karla the property manager was great! Always available. Thank you for opening your home to us.
