The Barefoot Bungalow is located on the Colorado River in Matagorda Texas. The house features a large open living area and kitchen. There is a large bedroom with 2 bunk beds , twin on top and full on bottom, and a small sleeping area with a full bed, as well as a full sized sleeper sofa. Bath towels and all linens are provided, just bring towels for the beach.
Cold a/c will keep you nice and cool between fishing trips.
You can enjoy fishing day and night on the private lighted

Stayed Oct 3, 2024Down for a fishing weekend with my buds. The house was everything it was advertised to be, and frankly, better than expected. Tons of towels, bedding was nice, bathroom was clean and modern, kitchen was packed with cooking supplies, and the host was helpful and responsive. The neighborhood was private, clean, safe and full of families having fun. Walking distance to a remarkably good outdoor restaurant/foodtruck/bar, None of us would hesitate to come back with our wives/kids. We’ll be back. FYI: first cast off the back deck we reeled in a flounder big enough to feed three men for dinner.

Stayed Sep 26, 2024Loved the place it was absolutely what we needed!!! Very clean had everything you need. I would say the Grill was very rusted inside(but it’s on the coast) they should replace that as we couldn’t use it. I cooked burgers inside though no biggie. We caught lots of fish!! Thanks to the host and the timely response. We definitely will go back again!!

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Great location and a beautiful home! The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are plenty of towels, bedding, pillows, and games for the kids. Fishing was excellent this weekend. One of the pluses is that they provide trash service, so you don't have to haul trash to the dump. The host is easy to communicate with and responsive via text
