Shoreview Lake House is on a quiet bay on the southern shore of beautiful Lake Shishebogama, just 7 miles west of charming Minocqua Wisconsin: What a great place to spend some family time!! It should be noted that the lake house is not in a remote setting and we do have wonderful neighbors, but our view is of THE LAKE! If isolation and seclusion are important to you, you might want to continue your search.
We know that you love your pets, but we are firm about our "No pet" policy. Like most housekeeping homes in the area, we provide all of the bedding that you will need, but guests need to bring their own bath and beach towels.
Cleaning is included in stays of 4 days or more. If your stay is less than 4 nights, a cleaning fee of $150 will be added before your reservation if officially accepted.
Guests love the beautiful tile floors, wood ceilings, stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets and abundant windows in the Lakehouse. We have a huge screened porch with comfortable seating, table and chairs for outside dining and a large wood deck overlooking the lake.
Each of the 3 levels in the lake house offer beautiful lake views! The main level has a living and dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. The upper level has 2 huge bedrooms, one with a queen bed in each dormer; The other has a queen bed in one dormer and daybed (two twins). There is a bathroom in the hall between the 2 upstairs bedrooms. The lower level has a recreation room with TV and game table, bedroom with king bed and bathroom!
Summertime on Lake Shish is wonderful! We have 3 docks, a swimming raft and a private boat launch for your fishing or ski boat. We also provide a rowboat, 2 kayaks and a small canoe for those wanting a little more exercise! A state-owned island, with hiking trails, can be seen from the lake house! You are sure to see some of the Northwoods wildlife. These include bald eagles, loons, beaver, blue herons and much more.
Shoreview Lake House is great in the fall and winter, too! The beautiful colors of autumn reflect in our serene lake! A brisk hike or bike ride on the Minocqua's Bearskin trail is a memorable experience. We are on a snowmobile trail and just minutes from Winter Park, with cross country skiing at it's best! Or just clamp on snowshoes and cross a frozen Lake Shish!
Summer rentals run from Saturday to Saturday and we have loyal guests returning each year. Occasionally we have an opening but the best chance of securing a week during the summer is the first part of June and last week of August.

We were a group of adults looking to fish and enjoy the local snowmobile trails. The cabin was perfect for that, the owners were very friendly and easy to get in touch with. Caretakers live across the street and made sure the property was exactly as listed. The kitchen is equipped with any amenity you may need. The porch would be a fantastic option in the summer, it overlooks the lake which would be gorgeous.
From arrival to the end of the trip my uncle and I had another memorable trip to Shish! The home was very spacious, clean, and beautiful views. Next year hopefully I can bring my wife and new born and more family to enjoy this little slice of heaven
8 of us always plan a fall extended getaway and this year we stayed in this Minocqua VRBO home. We had a great time, sitting by the fire pit, cooking, playing games, hiking, biking, boating, golfing and eating at Norwood Pines! Fun memories made!
We loved the place! Lots of water play all day and everyday. We kayaked, tubed, swam and grandkids learned to paddle board. Being able to walk out to the water without a bunch of stairs and having the fire pit down by the water was a real plus. The house was plenty big for our large group. Kathy was very responsive to questions. We hope to be back again!
Nice place Great view of lake and easy access
This property was everything they said it was online. It was clean and in a great location. There was good communication throughout the whole process and we had a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this property for others. Parking was just a little tight for (4) snowmobile trailers but the property owners worked well with us so we could make it work just fine.
The house was very comfortable and spacious. Great location on the lake. Kathy, the owner, was very gracious, communicative and thoughtful.
We really enjoyed our stay on Lake Shishbegoma, and the cottage is spacious, clean and comfortable. The views from the living room, dining room, screened porch and deck are simply beautiful. Downtown Minocqua is just 7 miles away. The host, Kathy Eikedahl, is very responsive if you have questions, and the same with Susan who is the caretaker. If we weren't moving out of State soon, this lake cottage would be #1 on our list of places to return.
Our immediate family--2 daughters, SILs, grandchildren and my husband and I--spent days at the beautiful, well stocked, home Property ID 123403. We had all kinds of special activities planned for our time in the Minocqua area, most of which we never did. Why? Because we found we didn't have to leave the house to have great things to do. We all kayaked, used the row boats, water boards, swam to the floating dock, sat in the unbelievable screened in porch that has magnificent views, had a fire in the fire pit right on the property, played games that were supplied, flew kites in the back yard, cooked the large kitchen and ate at the large dining table. The owner of the property couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. If I haven't raved enough, see for yourself!
We stayed at this house with our friends to enjoy the beautiful Minocqua area in the Fall. We biked and hiked and did a bit of shopping in town. The place was spacious for the 5 of us and could accommodate more as we didn’t use one of the bedrooms. It was a very clean and well taken care of place on the lake with a fabulous view! My husband fished off the dock and in the row boat that was provided. The kitchen was stocked with most items that you would need- dish towels, utensils, pots and pans and dishes. You need to provide your own bath towels, wash rags and hand towels which is fine. The place has more of a house feel than a cabin feel with lots of windows and light coming in. You can hear the highway sound as it’s one road off the highway but that didn’t bother us at all. The view of the lake was so peaceful. We were very pleased with the place and the response of the owners and caretaker!
