Everything was wonderful.. loved the outdoor area under the star filled skies. good space for the 6 of us indoors too. Would have liked Better lighting in the dining area though.
Pretty location, clean, cozy!
Overall property is nicely furnished, spacious and yard/patio is good. We were there to visit Rocy Mountain and Estes so location is favorable for that. I could fly fish the river and enjoyed that. It appears that the river is in the backyard but it is across the road and 34 traffic is busy. We did catch 3 mice under the kitchen sink which isn't a big deal to me but made my wife uncomfortable. Other than being right on the highway and the mice everything else was great.
Our entire family had an amazing time staying at Odin's House, including our three dogs who made themselves at home right away. The close proximity to Estes Park was nice but great to be able to get away and feel secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town. The detached garage was helpful adding more space to park our large truck outside while my In-Laws parked their smaller vehicle in the garage. Though we did not get time to go fishing, the Big Thompson River runs right in front of and just north of the property and was a wonderful, tranquil sound all day and night. When we reached out to the property owners to address an issue during our stay they were prompt in their response and resolution to the concerns.
We rented this property to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my Mother-in-Law's 80th Birthday. The property was easy to locate tucked away in beautiful Drake, Colorado, and so close to Estes Park. We LOVED the coziness of the entire house, the amenities provided and the room available for each of us to spread out and have our own privacy. Our three dogs enjoyed the open space of the yard and large dog kennel provided inside the laundry room for them. The separate garage was a perfect addition to allowing my In-Laws to park their vehicle in, leaving plenty of room for us to park our large truck outside. The property owners were prompt to respond when we contacted them and we were very pleased with the custom service they provided. Overall, this property was PERFECT for our family retreat, meeting every need we had! We will be sure to rent again in the near future! THANK YOU for opening your home to others to enjoy!!
Secluded just enough. Very clean
One recommendation-
Our visit was fantastic from start to finish. The location is perfect for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. There was easy access to the river and a beautiful fenced in backyard with a grill and fire pit. It was furnished very nice and had lots of games and puzzles. The only negative we could find was the close proximity to the highway. We had our windows open for the cool night air but the traffic was nonstop. That being said, we will definitely book Odin’s House again!
The house is even nicer in person. It is located right on Hwy 34, but the fenced in yard made the space outside kid- and pet-friendly. A wonderful weekend away with family, highly recommended!
