Can't beat the location but some of the sheets had stains on them (not sure from what) and there was a peach pit on the floor of one of the rooms. Hard to recommend this place as you have to do a lot on the day of checkout. All sheets and towels must be washed AND dried. Kind of ruined a pleasant stay otherwise.
I rented this house because of the view and we were not disappointed. The view from the deck and several rooms was gorgeous at all times of the day. It was so, so lovely and calming. We also totally enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked. The only downside was that none of the beds were very comfortable. Everything else was wonderful.
Our family had such a great stay at your home! Lots of beautiful light and the view was stunning! We enjoyed the beaches and proximity to Tillamook and surrounding state parks and lookouts! Tunnel beach was a favorite spot!
There is a lack of spoons (teaspoons) A spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner for tables and counters would be nice to provide (we couldn’t find one anywhere) A note in the binder about there being no recycling pickup would be helpful. The guests before us left glass bottles and a bag of recycling outside of the trash cans. I put it in the trash before pickup day. The TV was set to sound out through the TV speaker instead of Optical out when we arrived. I fixed it but a note in your binder might be good for non-tech guests. There was sound from the DVD player in the living room. The receiver was AV1 and TV was on optical out but still no sound. We tested a few other combos but couldn’t fix it. The DVD player remote wasn’t very responsive so we could not investigate if the DVD player audio out settings had been changed. Two of the bolts holding the spa cover bar to the ground plate were off when we arrived (nuts had come off but all parts were there). We hand tightened them back on but don’t have a wrench so they will likely fall off again unless they get tightened with the proper tool. Might consider doing a slightly deeper clean when a guest has pets. We found a number of hair tufts and some dog kibble on the main floor.
Everything was great. Spectacular views. Beautiful home.
Had a great family get together. Great fun at different beaches in the area. Some cleaning issues. House needs a lot of dusting. Light fixtures were covered with dust. Over all we had a good time.
Beautiful home with amazing ocean views. Home was very clean and stocked with all the essentials. Home is located in a beautiful area and close to the amazing Oregon coast. I highly recommend this home.
My family and I really enjoyed this property. I have stayed at a few properties at Oceanside and this one was amazing. The house was very clean and comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Although we usually like to be closer to the beach the view from this property was amazing. Beach access is just down the street. Parking was roomy. We didn't use the hot tub because the weather was rain, sun, hail and snow when we were there but it also looked great. The way this house is set up is nice. My daughter and son in law, two granddaughters, my sister and brother in law, nephew and I all fit in this house with room to spare. I am very picky with where I stay and I would gladly stay here again!
We had a wonderful Christmas vacation for our family. The house was clean and perfect for the kids to get their wiggles out in chilly weather! The hot tub and great views were a bonus! We would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with visitors!
First off the layout of the house was great. It fit our needs perfectly. There was attention given to making sure everyone would be comfortable. However I do have several complaints about specific amenities. When we arrived at the house, the internal temperature as per the nest thermostat was 50 degrees. 50 degrees exactly. I feel that is unreasonably cold. I understand wanting to save energy but it was barely warmer in the house that the outside temperature. Since the house is so large it took HOURS to warm it to a comfortable temperature. My family who was visiting are from Africa, so they are used to a warm climate, and my grandmother is 80 years old, so everyone was so chilled we had to huddle by the gas fireplace. That was great accept the fireplace would only run for a short time and then sputter out. We contacted the owner through text message and she did not respond very quickly, and when she did, she did not address our issue. In the end we found the fireplace would have to sit for 1+ hour before you could turn it on again. That was a huge disappointment since the fireplace was a main reason we chose the property. The Cable box's HDMI cable was disconnected for the tv in the main level bedroom and also was completely dead. It would not power on at all. I had to take the cable box from the living room into her bedroom in order for it to work. Consequently then there was no working cable box for the living room. The remote for TV in the living room would not work, so we had to use the physical power button on the back of the tv to turn it on and off. The DVD player in the living room would not work because its HDMI cable was disconnected. The basement smart TV would not work because it was disconnected from the internet. I had to go through its network setup. None of this was too difficult for me to fix because I actually do Audio/Video Installation for a living, however I should not have had to spend 1+ hour fixing tv's. The towel rack in the basement bathroom was ripped out of the wall and therefore unusable. When we arrived, the gas barbecue was completely dumped over with its contents spilled out. We let the owner know so she would not think we did it. My father and I felt inclined to go out in the rain and lift the barbecue back up and cover it so it would not be ruined. The lock for the strap on the hot tub was rusted and so the key (which the handle of was broken) could not turn the lock by hand. Pliers required.
