Oceanside - Authentic Gulf Front Experience on Dauphin Island.

Great Time! Lots of fun! Wonderful accomidations!

We had a horrible stay at this unit. We faced multiple challenges during our stay, most notably when the entire Jack N Jill bathroom and master bedroom flooded due to back up of the toilet and tub. The flooding drenched our luggage which was on the bedroom floor, as well as the bedding. Despite contacting the management company immediately, the issue was not serviced until nearly 24 hrs later. The plumber advised that this was a preexisting drainage issue which was not dealt with in the past. Meanwhile, no one from the management company checked on our needs. We had used all the towels in the house to absorb the massive amount of flood water, had to run multiple towel loads in the washing machine just to be able to shower. We ended up with one shower and toilet for 5 adults and 1 kid. When I looked for extra bedding to replace the toilet water soaked bedding, what I found in the closet was stained and dirty. On top of this main issue, the front door doesn’t lock appropriately- winds blow it open, the bathroom door hook fell off when we tried to hang up clothes, the toaster was broker, and overall the kitchen was poorly equipped. The top bunk of the bunk bed was filled with sand and was not usable. The bottom bunk mattress was heavily indented. Although the location is amazing, of the multiple times we have vacationed on the island, this was the only time we had a negative stay experience. Still no contact from management co.

The house is in the best spot (although parking and bringing up luggage took a bit), but the house was clean, could hear the waves from inside the house, and was in the perfect spot for instant access to beach/water. Would 100% book this property again and recommend to anyone!

Everything was as advertised. You just have to walk out the door to go down to the beach. There were beach chairs provided and a paddle board which I failed to even notice on the listing. The weather did not cooperate, but getting to the beach when the sun poked through was easy since we are already on the beach! There were plenty of towels and wash clothes for our family to use. Kitchen had everything we needed and some previous tenants left behind some puzzles to keep us busy while waiting on the storms to pass. Overall it was a very nice stay.
