The location and layout is great. Privacy, beach access, ocean and river views, and direct access to the garage for easy clean-up of the pup make this a house we’ll be coming back to.

Our stay was among one of the best places we’ve ever rented at the beach! The location was excellent, our view was wonderful, the beds were the most comfortable and the house had everything we needed! Our host, Katie, was extremely kind and very responsive, even answering questions in the evenings and after hours, and accommodating our request to stay an extra night. We will most definitely be staying again, as well as recommending to all of our friends and family!

We had a very relaxing few days. Enjoyed sending in the yard and watching the ocean and birds.

Shorty's Hideaway is great place to stay, right on the beach. It is south of town which is a more quiet stretch of beach. The house is comfy for a small family, the upgrades made this house feel new, not your typical crusty old beach house. The kitchen was very well appointed with appliances and kitchen tools as well. There is room in the garage to stash bikes, which is highly recommended for Pacific City.We'll be back for sure!

The house was so nicely set up for a relaxing weekend at the coast. Great kitchen setup with cute plates and lots of pots and pans. Fireplace and lovely dinning area with great view of the coast.

Wonderful and comfortable right on the beach. Great bed in master and awesome wood burning fireplace in living area with good couches and big TV. Was great to walk out and be at the ocean. Beautiful and private location and close to all in Pacific City.

This was our first time to Pacific City and it did not disappoint! The house made our stay even better. It's perfect and we plan to book again.

The beach house is wonderful! Perfect for a small family or two couples. We really enjoyed having the garage available to take off shoes and wet clothes off after enjoying the beach. Was able to walk straight down to the beach. I little bit of a hill climb. One of the cleanest places I’ve seen. Nice bedding! Felt like a cottage by the sea!

What a great little cottage! Beautiful beach location, cozy and clean! Easy access to all we wanted to do along the OR coast. Comfy bedding, nicely decorated. Will definitely keep this place in mind for a future trip to the OR coast.

Beautiful view & being able to walk right out to the beach was awesome! Comfortable bed, nice lines, fully equipped kitchen. It was even better than our expectations! So comfortable & relaxing!

Nice layout of the house. Cute interior and beautiful views. Loved the garage to house access, made everything feel more secure.The beds were too hard and too raised for older folks. The couches pulled out to more comfortable beds but were not great to sit on for any period of time and no chairs to be another option. The walk to the beach was difficult. Great view from the top of the bluff but tough getting down and back up, so unfortunately, our time near the oceans edge was limited. We pulled the BBQ grill out to use it. It was used and had food on the grill, and had almost no gas to cook the meal.Great for our pet. She loved the tile floors. Thank you for the pet food mat and additional doggie bags. The temperature controls left some of the house much colder then it should have been.Would recommend for my adult children but not for mobility limited or those with children.

Quick trip to the coast with the family. The house was very clean and had stocked well for functional kitchen and beach play. Extra linens for the fold out coaches and towels both for showers and beach use. Very awesome location and easy access to the beach. Highly recommend.

Neighbors were a little close for my liking, but not a deal breaker. Beach had very few people on it, beautiful views from the property. House was very cute, cozy, clean and even well decorated! Bed was super comfortable!! We had a great time!!

Shorty's Hideaway is a chef's kiss of a property to enjoy the coast of Oregon. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay with my bestie and her pup at such a perfect home. The house was impeccably clean, incredibly comfortable, and THE PERFECT ESCAPE. Thank you so much for everything!

Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable king bed in the primary bedroom (we didn’t try the guest bedroom bed), a short walk through the back door to the beach and a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Our dog was in heaven!

We've stayed here a few times when coming to Pacific City and it never disappoints! The home is comfortable with enough space for my teens to spread out, and the beach is literally right out the door. We love having the dunes to explore right in front of us. It feels so private! Overall, a great rental for the beach!

A few of us stayed at Shorties for the weekend. It was an amazing time right on the beach. The cabin was clean, stocked with everything we could need, in a quiet neighborhood. Katie was easy to communicate with. I appreciated using the gas grill, in house washer and dryer, newly renovated bathrooms and an amazingly stocked kitchen. Thank you for a blessed weekend Katie! Everything about our stay was wonderful and easy. The home is so comfortable (especially the beds), cozy, and very clean. It has all of the amenities you might need and then some. The kitchen is well stocked. This might be one of first places that had usable cookware and sharp knives! We really enjoyed our three nights to celebrate Father’s Day.

A very sweet, up-dated home with an amazing view. After all of the updates you still enjoyed the beach feel. Enjoyed both shopping areas but did not get a chance to use any of the many restaurants. Did find out that all recommended walking is for those with younger legs. A lot of ups, downs and sand. Katie was a gem. But the house is so well supplied that you won't have to call on her a lot. When we did need her she was right there. Thank you for sharing your lovely beach house.

Nice stay. Just some minor details overlooked. The master bedroom could have used blackout shades. The primary sofa was located too far from the TV. Would have felt a little more pampered if we had a soaker tub for our weary bones. We would recommend it.

Shorty's is a lovely spot (better than in the pictures!) in a great location (right above the beach!) and walking distance from Pacific City. The home was clean, charming, comfortable and had everything we needed – we will definitely be back.

Nice little place right on the beach. You do have to climb a sand dune to get down to the beach but it’s worth it.

Very cute beach bungalow with up dated kitchen and baths. Very clean, with well stocked kitchen and ample towels and bedding. One note if you are staying during winter: living room/kitchen/dining heat is wood stove only, so you’ll need to plan for firewood. Primary bedroom and bathroom have wall heaters.Very quiet street right on the beach.

We loved looking at the sea! While it was too steep of a climb down or up for us, beach access a short drive away worked. The home is well-appointed and suited for two to four people. We really apprecaiated being able to include our dogs. The main room was perfect for their kennels.

This is a great place to stay. Right on the beach and a very comfy house with all you need. If you want a fire in the wood stove you need to bring your own wood and kindling. Would definitely stay here again.

Shorty’s was a perfect choice. Great location and accommodations. The house is very well stoked with everything you forgot and / or need. Very clean and not cluttered.

This is our second visit to the property. The home is well equipped, and the communication with the management is great. I can’t think of anything that would stop us from coming back next year. We had a great time, great experience and I feel that we are extremely blessed to have found this property to spend some time next to the ocean.

My husband, teen stepdaughter, dog and I loved this place! It was the perfect size and location. We loved just being able to walk out the back yard to the beach. We also appreciated being so close to Bob Straub State Park. The house is well-appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely rent here again next time we are In Pacific City!

Loved the location, Pacific City is a nice little town. We stocked up on groceries at Safeway in Lincoln City, but visited Chester Market in Pacific City and could have easily done it there. We also bought seafood at Barnacle Bills but could have done it at the seafood place right in town. The teak to the beach is easy going down, but a teak coming back. We discovered McPhillips beach not too far down the road which felt like a hidden gem. You can drive right out on the beach there. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook.

We enjoyed our stay. House was great! Only thing that would have made it better, a deck to see the ocean over the dune.

Shorty's Hideaway is the perfect getaway to relax and recharge. We spent hours just sitting on the bluff looking at the beach and Surf. Just steps away from the beach. The house was perfectly equipped with everything you need. Perfectly located in Pacific City, minutes away from Cape Kawanda and Pelican Brewing. We will be back again as this will be our go to place to stay when we go to the coast.
