Lots of bedrooms and a great view of the ocean
The location and amenities of this house are great, especially for the price. Beautiful spot right on the beach. The furniture could use some updating, but we loved our stay.
Great home for a family getaway, but needs some attention. Very close to the uncrowded beach, great pool, good sized rooms with comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, great views, pet friendly. Getting a little ragged around the edges due to so much use: couches/chairs getting funky an broken, peeling vinyl cabinets, hot tub jets missing, trashed beach toys/umbrellas/chairs stacked in the outdoor shower. However, Vacasa staff were attentive and polite. We'd go back in a heartbeat despite these easily ignored issues. All told it was an above average experience that could have been stellar with a bit more care put back into the home.
Pros: large pool, beach views and beach access, well stocked kitchen Cons: Toilet was leaking at the seal and created a biohazard that it took days to repair. Deck and pool furniture was broken. Vacasa didn’t respond to requests to replace it. They said call volume was too high. Dog hair is ground into the carpets. Do not believe Vacasa when they say they have resolved the issues from other reviews. They told us this as well and lied.
View, Pool and Hot Tub
The location was great, but the property was a bit run down. View from living room was lovely, but the walk over the dunes to get to the beach was almost vertical so had to go on your knees. Also from master bedrooms all you could see was sand.
2 of the 4 showers did not work and the 2 that did work hardly had enough pressure to rinse of the soap. All bathrooms fixtures are rusted and need replaced
The beach house is in MAJOR need of TLC. Terrible smell inside. First impression is of trashy carport and dirty gas grill and falling apart basketball hoop. Ceiling fans were dusty, main TV has a crack in LED screen. Lower cabinets in kitchen are scary so didn’t want to cook or use them. Deli tray In fridge is broken. Sinks missing drain strainers. HVAC makes a clicking noise in main living room. I can go on and on. Would not stay at this property ever again.
House desperately needs updating. We were missing towels and pillows. Rusting faucets. Broken deck furniture. Lots of things I could name, but suffice to say we wouldn’t rent this house again. Views were nice and location good. It’s a shame the owners are letting it deteriorate.
The main reason this house is getting 4 stars is because of the view and location! The pictures from the website don’t do it justice. However, half the lights didn’t work in the house, there was trash everywhere outside when we arrived and there were a lot of dirty utensils mixed with the clean ones. The bedrooms were good sizes but the mattresses were horrible. Regardless of some of the flaws of the house, it was still a great trip
We experienced many problems with this property. We spent over $10,000 for this property and found it to be in some disrepair. The primary digital door lock did not work for the entire time we were there. The door also did not shut properly for the first few days and needed repair. Additionally, the top balcony door flew open repeatedly and randomly — even in the middle of the night,, causing air conditioner to overwork. We had a plumbing issue in one of the master bedrooms that took 48 hrs to get fixed. There was very limited seating on the balconies (only on the top) so that we could not utilize the 2nd floor deck except for towel drying. Many of the cheap plastic recliners were broken on the deck and around the pool and Broken chairs littered the property. The outdoor shower was rustic but hot — hotter than the inside showers! The decor inside is outdated and a bit rundown for the price (old living room chairs; peeling bathroom cabinetry; dingy carpet. We were not alerted when our house was ready and then the door code did not work and we had to find another way in. The pool and hot tub were great. The short walk over the dune to the perfect beach was great. Would benefit from updating, regular maintenance and the addition of another fridge since primary is small and froze our fruits.
The view from the living room was breathtaking! Pampano is so close to the beach that the ocean lulled me to sleep every night! The home is pet friendly, and I was relieved to see that the only room with hardwood flooring was the dining room on the top floor. It was easy to block the door way with the chairs to keep the flooring scratch- free. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen. The first night of our stay we found out that the Gingerbread bakery has great pizza and yummy homemade cookies and brownies, and it was just a short drive from the house. The beds and furnishings were all comfy and perfect for a family. We had a wonderful and relaxing week. The time flew by (asit always does) and Pompano was a great place to stay!
House was clean and bright. Nice new floors. Tough climb over dunes but great location. Many things were broken - deck stairs, deck door and furniture, beach gear and storage shed, even 2 of 3 trash cans! But was comfortable and we made it work.
Located was nice, beds comfortable, kitchen pretty well stocked and living room had comfortable sofas.
The house is quite clean and well appointed, with new carpeting, and right on the beach with a 2-plus story steep incline over the sand dune directly in front of the house. But once you do that climb, there's that gorgeous, almost empty beach and you'll think the climb was worth it. (NOTE: I believe the pics online are from back to 2019, and that dune appeares much flatter then; not so anymore.) Kitchen has tons of silverware and then some. Enough dishes and glasses, also pots, pans, and cooking utensils. There is NO FOOSBALL table as advertised and shown in the pics. I rated this property as 3-stars because of the maintenance issues we experienced, and the way they were handled or mishandled as was the case with one of our major issues that wasn't resolved at all before we left and no one called us with any updates.
Loved the view from the top floor great room and dining room. Nice hot tub and pool. I found the beds very comfortable.
