Oceanfront Cottage w/ Panoramic Views & Vintage Vibes - The Last Chance

We so enjoyed the vintage cottage vibes. It was a birthday girls Labor Day weekend. The town was so cozy. My only complaint is NC doesn’t have enough Spanish moss for my beach getaways.

Great property! Better than expected. Few things that are important with my family when renting a beach house that you may not know until you show up - beds are cozy! Not cheap and hard. AC works great in all bedrooms. Nice deck with a dining table outside- we love our family dinners outside with a beach view. Kitchen had everything we needed for dinners in. The grill was missing and they delivered a new gas grill immediately when I called. Salt and Sand is great! Will be checking out all their properties. I will share as there was only 2 things with the property that wasn’t a big deal for us but may help others, the master bath toilet is so close to the wall my husband couldn’t use it, my knees touched the wall. The laundry is outside under the house. I’d go back to the same property, but this may not work for others- so check the other Salt and Sand houses if needed! Thanks and we will be back!

Our family had the best time! The house is just perfectly cozy and charming. I loved the amazing ocean view and easy walk to the beach. The house was clean, well stocked and the beds were comfortable, good parking, washer and dryer lots of cupboardspace. The house just had a warm, inviting vibe and I didnt want to leave. It's definitely an amazing place to unwind from a busy world.

Great time in a great beach house!

The house in a good location - looks like pics - three star meaning it's an average house - a little older but just fine for us. If the owner wants to be successful he needs to find a new managment company. Basically nothing to use in kitchen. We flew in - had to buy beach chairs for 3 days use - they could have supplied these. Bathroom shower curtain too short and fell down. Asked for late check out - they said we could stay until 11am - asked if we got out of house and packed car if we could stay on the beach a little longer if we could leave car in one of two spots at house - the answer was no because it might confuse the maid. Later in the day when we realized that we left a small electronic item we called to see if maid could get it for us - but they told us maid wasn't coming until next day. So they could have let us stay later - just couldn't be bothered - but that would have made our trip much better. Asked them to call back when they found the item - they never did. Followed up much later and they said they would charge us $25 to stick in regular mail. Oh forgot, asked if they had a grill - they said yes - ends up to be a TINY floor unit that might cost $19. They had not beach towels or beach umbrellas or any beach toys of any kind. The wifi code in the unit was the wrong one and the TV didn't work the entire time. Nobody there cares. But the house is fine.

I can’t say how much we were pleased with the house, location, cleanliness, everything was excellent. If every house that this realtor manages is like then kudos! Thanks for an excellent experience!

The Last Chance provided the perfect spot for our adult family of 5. The bathrooms were nicely updated and everything was clean and waiting for us. After a bit of a planning snafu, the owners and property managers went out of their way to help us resolve the issue and we were so grateful. Highly recommend this cottage.
