Ocean Oaks 10 - beautiful home steps away from the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first stay in this house. We have stayed in numerous properties in Ocean Oaks and I think this might be my new favorite. The location to the boardwalk is perfect. We had 3 familes and never felt crowded.

Great for seeing the sunrise. The kitchen had all of the utensils and ppts you could need. Nice master bedroom and also a great play area for the kids.

Reviewer Comments: This home is lovely and is in a great location. My complaints would be that the 5th bedroom , which was a reason we rented the house was over the unattached garage, second floor with many steps, making it unusable for our little grandkids or my elderly husband who can't handle stairs. We were not able to take advantage of that additional bedroom.The swimming pool was closed for 3 or 4 days and once it was open we chose not to go there. It had not been cleaned, leaves were everywhere around the seating and covered porch areas and the pool itself was dirty. We were not able to use the pool as we hoped.

This house is in an excellent location with lots of room for a large family and is well furnished. Unfortunately, it was the dirtiest house we’ve ever been in. We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and left a message on the property manager’s voice mail before finding a phone number for the answering service. We reported the major issues to the answering service and we were contacted by the on call maintenance person. He arrived with a swifter wet mop, hand soap, linens for the sofa bed in the loft, and hand towels for the kitchen. I used about a dozen wet wipes on the floor and could net get all the grime out. Our 10 month old grandson’s knees were totally black after a few minutes on the floor. There were no cleaning products provided other than dish soap in the kitchen. The pots, pans, toaster oven and everything else that didn’t get cleaned by the dishwasher had to be hand cleaned before using them. There were no kitchen towels and the pot holders were all dirty. The property manager never followed up from the voice message left about our issues. We paid a huge cleaning fee for a dirty house. The owner should follow up with the property manager about the lack of cleaning. On a positive note, Haley was very helpful before check in letting us know what items the kitchen was stocked with and helped locate an air pod I left behind in the house and shipped it to me.

We had a really enjoyable time staying here. The home is very clean and had everything we needed. The house is right next to the path that takes you to the beach which we used as often as possible. It is only a short drive to the main shopping/village area. Even though there are houses right next to you it feels secluded. The place provides parking for 3 vehicles which is nice, since many homes only have parking for 2. It met and exceeded all of our needs and I would highly recommend staying here!

Well appointed, spacious home right beside the private community boardwalk over the dune to the uncrowded beach. Highly recommend.

Great home close to the beach with plenty of room.

Property is beautiful, love this place, and location. Only suggestion is get a decent coffee maker. I had to use a Keurig that I had in my car fortunately since I was unable to make the one in the house work.

The house had not been cleaned when we checked in, dirty linens, food on floor, bathrooms not clean, back porch covered in sand and beer bottle caps etc. They came back and cleaned for 30 min, it was not good enough so we left and went to a hotel. The property manager agreed to come back and clean it top to bottom which should have been done in the first place. I was refunded for 1 full day which is what I asked for . Overall it was a stressful situation for wife and small children to jump around after a long drive. The management company did resolve the issue but it's hard to imagine how such an oversight could happen in the first place. The house is exactly as pictured and in good condition. The pool was not clean during our stay, very cloudy so we were not able to use it. I ran into the pool company on site and asked about the water, he told me it's fine and just from sunscreen washing off in pool. He said, your kids will be fine, they wont' grow a third limb, and if they do they can join the circus. The HOA should find a new pool maintenance company. Beach access very good. Nice subdivision and good location. I
