Ocean Front - Amazing Ocean Views - Dog Friendly Classic Beach Home, Sleeps 8

This is the second time we’ve stayed here with our two dogs. The beachfront location is great, and the local seafood markets have great local options. Great place to stay for a relaxing getaway!

Cute house for a quiet stay on Oak island! Perfect for the family.

First time to Oak Island and it was perfect for us since it is pet friendly. Loved the location and the beach view. The house was clean and everything worked. We look forward to going back.

Somewhere on a Beach was the perfect place for our family of five and our little dog. The back deck was a favorite space to hang out, especially while it was raining. The living room had enough comfortable seating for all of us to watch tv and play video games together. The kitchen was absolutely wonderful - so big for such a cozy house! We have never seen so many kitchen utensils and silverware in a rental before. We could find literally everything we needed. The fridge is quite large, and we made some amazing meals in that space! It was lovely to be able to just walk right on to the beach and rinse our feet on our way back in. We didn't need the dog wash as our little girl didn't go into the water, but that would have been so convenient with a big sandy dog! The house is super close to a convenience store, and it's only 20 minutes to Southport for a Walmart or other shopping. There are several good restaurants and pubs within a couple minutes drive, and the pier is also a super fun adventure. There is also a super close Publix and Food Lion on the island about 10 minutes away. We absolutely LOVED the location and the house itself. Oh, and it was super great to not have to bring our own beach chairs and boogie boards! We would absolutely stay again and recommend to any family or group of 6 or less people!

This cottage worked out perfectly for our family! The location is great, right on the ocean! They provided chairs for us to use and though we had no children, there were toys provided also. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything that we needed. Ceiling fans in every room were enjoyed by us. A nice large tv in the main room, as well as tv’s in each bedroom. The porch was our favorite spot! Nice outdoor chairs enabled us to sit on the covered porch enjoying the breeze, and the table provided the perfect spot for our games of Yatzee. Having the made made upon our arrival was amazing! One less task to worry about about loading and unloading the car! I would gladly stay here again, as it is charming. Plenty of coffee mugs, charcoal grill and chairs were my most appreciated items.

Fantastic house! Someone loves this home and takes care of it. Pros: right on the beach, kitchen well stocked, clean, furniture in good shape overall, dog friendly, close to mini mart, nice cover on sofa Cons: ceiling fan could use a wipe down, No room darkening curtains in bedrooms.

The house was a charming vestige of times gone by that are still very much with us. While unassuming, it offers anything and everything you seek for to spend some lovely time at the best beach in the world. Everything that you need — a place to keep good company and the beach — is right here. If you are particular about cooking, I’d suggest you bring your own cooking utensils. But the Japanese dishes will make your dishes shine. Wonderful location and a very comfortable home. Thank you for sharing your hospitality!

This was a most relaxing vacation home to stay in. Easy walk to the beach. This time of the year was very peaceful, not crowded at all. Wonderful restaurants in the area. If I’m back in the area again will definitely check on availability!Terri

The place was great, and we had a great stay. It was a little windy while we were there, so having the deck was really nice. Had some great local seafood too. Would stay there again!

Spontaneous trip over to the beach. House is as shown, communication great & you can’t beat the location in proximity to the beach.

Never been to the beach at winter….. still beautiful and relaxing. Our dogs really liked it!

Very nice stay with awesome views of the Beach. The house is located right beyond the sand dunes. If you look up and over the dunes, you will see the rolling of the waves. The house is only about a 7 minute drive to restaurants on OKI or a 15 minute drive to Southport. House comes with an outdoor shower and a foot cleaning station so you can easily clean off before going into the house. The deck was beautiful to watch the sunsets in the evenings. My only complaint was that the house was very dusty and everytime we opened or closed the blinds we got a face full of dust. Even the fridge and wall decorations had a layer of dust. None of the windows or doors had screens so it was hard to open any door or window for a breeze or listen to the ocean. Black flies would always fly in if we had the door open for a minute. Instead we kept the doors and windows closed and use the AC.

It was a great spot for our little family.

The property is located on the beach and offers a deck and porch which makes enjoying the view wonderful. All the beach chairs there are old and rusted. The dog washing station is a nice touch, but the knob is broken off the hose. The grill is charcoal only. The house needs renovation. We had a wonderful time despite these unfortunate concerns

Great location! Enjoyed walking off the covered deck right to private beach access! The dogs also loved the beach and the covered porch.

The location was perfect. Beach access easy and as described. Property mgrs were great providing window units when the a/c went out. The house had been cleaned but it needs a deep cleaning. Lots of marks and smudges, dirty oven and some pans not usable, broken and worn blinds. It has so much potential. This could be a real gem!! Like the pics!!

Loved the house, the location. Unfortunately for us neighbors in a 3 story next to us were trying to relive their college years with loud, drunken parties that ran to the legal limit of 11 pm. The property management was top notch and very responsive to requests. We're strongly considering putting this rental in our beachfront seasonal rotation.
