Ocean Cottage 43 The Cottages at Jekyll Island Oceanfront

The property was gorgeous, quiet and a perfect location for us. The high-ceilings and spacious rooms were great. The outside porches were even better. The screened-in porch on the main level was absolutely perfect for eating outside which we did frequently. The rocking chair top porch was ideal for sipping coffee while watching the dolphins, pelicans and seagulls. We viewed St. Simon’s’ fireworks from there on the 4th. Two items to improve on: Private Beach Access: During the 4th of July week in 2019 we arrived to heaving machinery and bulldozing outside as improvements to save/beach erosion was taking place. This also meant the private access to the beach was closed. This was frustrating as it was one of the selling points for us when we booked in April, 2019. I understand the tides, etc., but having heavy construction and restricted beach access during peak season was disappointing and puzzling. Pots and Pans: The non-stick skillet was in bad shape with the Teflon peeking off and the other pans available proved difficult with food heavily sticking to them. We spent a lot of time scrapping and scrubbing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage was above and beyond our expectations. Beautifully maintained, and really quite large. Great views from the many decks and porches.East access to anywhere on the island, both by car and on the walking/biking paths.

We loved the porch overlooking the calm ocean. Perfect distance to the pool and tons of space for our family!

We stayed here with another couple for a few days. We loved the location with a fantastic view of the ocean. The condo was immaculate and had everything a family could possibly need. My only suggestion would be to provide some spices in the kitchen.

We had a great stay at Cottage 43. The house was clean, very comfortable beds, and good location. My only complaint would be the pool is not heated. Water was freezing and dirty. We could not swim at all during our visit. Wish there was a hot tub too.

The house was well equipped and had a perfect view of the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the balconies were amazing. Unfortunately it was a very cold week so we enjoyed the view from inside. Parker was very responsive and checkin was extremely smooth. Highly recommend.

My family had a great experience overall. The view from the house was amazing and everything was very clean and well maintained. The cottage was located very close to all of the activities that we had planned. The drawbacks to note were a lack of response to an email question I submitted prior to my stay to confirm items that would be available for my young son, and some of the limited amenities. It would have been helpful to have more clean towels, a few more trash bags, and enough dishwasher pods to run the dishwasher each evening. I also left the thermostat on the number requested upon checkout, but would personally keep it much cooler for the cleaners so that they would not need to work in a warm house.

The property was beautiful and just as described. The photos do not give the view justice as it is amazing! The cottage is about 35 yards from the shoreline and the French doors, porches and windows make it possible to enjoy the view from much of the cottage. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay on Jekyll and this property was well appointed and furnished with everything we could want. Great porches and views for Jekyll:)

Great house, well appointed, would definitely stay again. Happen to have alot of rain when we were there but my teenagers loved playing billiards in the community house, great asset to have on a rainy day. Proximity to water was great, loved the screened in porch and open air balcony but ended up going down the beach when we actually wanted to sit in the sand, overall relaxing week.
