We had a great stay, excellent location, and the house was very clean and comfortable. Perfect size for our family of 3 young kids, the beach was literally right out the back door. It was too cold to use when we visited, but the pool is directly next door and locked so no worries about our littles sneaking in. We’d definitely love to visit again.

Location was fantastic. We could see the sunrise from the balconies. My wife and I had stayed in this same condo once before with friends. We love that all 3 bedrooms are master suites with king beds and their own bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jekyll Island! There was planty to do each day and the condo was very nice! There were a couple outdoor fans and door handles that were showing some age that could stand to be replaced, but it really wasnt a big deal.We did have an issue with fruit flys that was pretty annoying but I am not sure you can blame that on the property. If you are going to go, I would try to bring something to help control them. The beach at the cottages is underwater all but maybe 4 to 6 hours a day. This was a inconvenience but the overview beach park is not far away and has plenty of room. The beach water also seemed pretty cloudy due to the marshes and shallow water so it wasnt the best beach. I would say if that is all we had to complain about the trips was great! The family really enjoyed to atmosphere and the scenery of Jekyll

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was wonderful overall but there were a couple minor things that if improved upon, would make for a perfect stay. Each bathroom only had one roll of toilet paper. The kitchen only had one roll of paper towels and no sponge to do dishes. This was not a cheap rental and in other homes of this level, I have never had this issue. An extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom and at least a couple extra rolls of paper towels would go a long way. Not to mention we were supplied with only two trash bags. This seems like petty complaining but for four adults and two children, skimping on simple necessities makes a difference. Also, there were only bath towels available and no beach towels. No extra towels at all. For a house on the beach and the only real activity being the pool, we were contastantly using damp towels. Finally, the place could use a fresh coat of paint as it was a little tired and scuffed up in many places. With these minor inconveinences improved upon, I would happily return.

Our stay was nice, a little bit misleading in the first picture when looking up your cottage, in a picture it made it seem like that was the bottom bedroom and living room view, not the case. The bedroom and the living room view was covered with palm trees, the only other thing that I felt was different from any other place that we’ve rented, usually they give you a starter pack for everything which was not given to do the wash,Or any shampoos or conditioners. The only other thing I can think of when renting they usually provide beach towels and chairs, also very limited to kitchen utensils, ,and pots and pans,

With 5 star maximum I would give exceptional 6 stars but instead will give 4 stars. The two large palmetto trees outside the first floor hamper a superb view of the ocean. Going the 2nd floor with drinks etc. does not work well. I tried several times to call the property manager but no answer...however inside the clubhouse was a supervisor named Tad who gave cheerful help in lighting the gas log fireplace and the outside fire pit. There is no beach, only a stone breakwall and maybe 20 feet between it and the cottage. The cottage condition and amenities were exceptional, and being right next to the cluhouse and unheated pool were a big bonus. Everything was great except for the limited view out the front windows and porch.

We had a great time. It was very comfortable and spacious. The tide was too high the entire time so we couldn’t get in the ocean but we still enjoyed the view and swimming in the pool. We will be back

Ocean Cottage 123 is a beautifully furnished and equipped new townhome with an ideal location for our beach vacation: adjacent to the large pool with plentiful seating and umbrellas, club house, fitness room, community firepit, and beach access boardwalk over the dunes. Jekyll's bike paths are superb; a slight drawback to this cottage was no garage or bike rack to store our bikes or secure them. The boardwalk over the dunes ended in a long steep stairway going down to the beach with a rough board handrail, which was a challenge for senior citizens. However, there were public access points nearby that were easier to navigate. The information book in the cottage was very detailed and helpful. The community trash compactor was convenient. Fruit flies were a big nuisance, despite removing trash daily and setting out multiple vinegar and soap traps as instructed in the handbook. We saw no other insects in the home. We plan to return!

Only view of the ocean was from the upstairs balcony, which was lovely. The whole first floor view is obstructed by two huge palms and other scrub which was very disappointing. The pics online must have been taken a long time ago. It was convenient being right next to the pool. Decor was beautiful and comfortable. Plenty of hair dryers available, but bring your own toilet paper! Only one small roll per bathroom with no backups. For 6 people and the price of the condo I would at least expect there to be enough toilet paper. There were two beach chairs and two pool noodles provided which was nice. We chose this rental being right next to the pool and boardwalk. Overall... a beautiful condo with a poor view and no toilet paper.

I traveled with my husband, our two teenage daughters and another couple who are close friends. The cottage was as advertised other than the fact that we thought there was a garage and there was not. The pans were not in good shape and we ended up buying two new pans in order to make breakfasts. The drain in the bathtub drains very slowly but we did not communicate that to the property manager while we were there so that's on us. The area was nice, the people were friendly and any time I am by the beach I am happy. I will say although we knew about high tide/low tide and that there is not a lot of beach, we didn't realize how much of the day that would affect our ability to be on the beach. You do have the option to travel just down the road to the public beach area which has a wider and more available sandy area. All in all it was a fun trip and the cottage worked well for us.
