Stayed Jul 9, 2025We had a wonderful family beach vacation! The location was great - a short walk to the beach and we were happy a wagon, beach blanket and plenty of towels were provided. The beach was beautiful, quiet, not crowded and had life guards and bathrooms. The house was well appointed. My kids (2,5) had a great time playing in the yard. Victoria was an excellent host and went above and beyond for us! We will book here again if we come back to the area.

Stayed Jun 30, 2025My family, coming from Massachusetts, Georgia, and Kentucky, was joining extended, local, aunts, uncles, and cousins for a week of family fun. As wonderful as it was to all be together, having time with just my sons and their families was a special treat. This location was ideal and made it easy to join activities. The owner was responsive and accommodating, and we look forward to returning sometime soon

Stayed Oct 3, 2024The home was lovely, the decor was charming, and the location was ideal. However, the shampoo supply was insufficient, and the pillows and bedding were not of hotel quality. Despite these issues, we would stay there again.

Stayed Feb 14, 2024We booked this property for a group of business associates working on a project in Shippan Point. Victoria was a wonderful host. We had to extend the stay due to the project and Victoria was very accommodating over the 4+ months. Great communication and the location was perfect for our needs. I highly recommend the property based on the feedback I received from the occupants and especially with my personal interactions with Victoria...she takes great pride in offering a wonderful property and ensuring her guests are well taken care of.

Stayed Jul 11, 2021The property was as advertised. My family (adults, one child) was in town for a week for a memorial service for another family member who had passed away. The house was fine with plenty of space for sleeping and dining. Everything was clean. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and useful utensils. The bed mattresses were firm. The following issues were unexpected. Parking was annoying as we had 2 cars. The driveway did not allow the parked cars to turn around so that you had to back out about 80 ft onto a usually busy Shippan Avenue. We learned to park in front on Shippan Avenue instead but then got a note on our windshield from house #1 not to park in front of their gate or we will find scratches on our cars and all the locals know this. All else went well except a smoke detector started beeping one night from a low battery we had to replace. Also a gas detector by the gas range went off unexpectedly one evening even though nobody used the stove. We reset it and it was fine. The beach was a bit of a hike for a 5 year old and the beach was small. It was closed when we were there because of rainstorms causing sewage leaks into the water. You must have a Stamford parking permit to use the parking lot at the beach. Traffic on I-95 was backed up most days (this is usual) from Stamford to Norwalk making for slow journeys out of town. Overall, a good place to stay, but with some annoyances.

Stayed Jun 20, 2021The house is very new/updated with fabulous air conditioning and great wifi (very important to us!). The kitchen and bathrooms seem new and everything works well and was clean and tidy. There were plenty of dishes and pots, spices, etc for our use. They even supplied very nice beach towels. The host was very accommodating and at one point rushed over some new kitchen spatulas when I mentioned one had come apart, even though I said not to worry about it. She was very nice and wanted everything to be just right. We especially appreciated numerous very soft blankets for use while relaxing on the couch and also in each bedroom. The beach is very close by, easy walking distance, but as we were feeling lazy, we drove the few blocks and always had abundant free parking steps away from it. The beach itself is calm with not a lot of waves, very safe. Water was cool but not too cold to swim. Plenty of space for social distancing, we always felt comfortable. Lifeguards on duty during the day, and at night we could sit on the beach and watch the sky change, it was very peaceful. The house is one of 2 on the same lot, but we never saw or heard the family in the other house, the lot is carefully designed so that each house has its own parking, entrance, and separate yard space. We went on some great easy hikes nearby and especially enjoyed the Nianus River Park and the Stanford Museum and Nature Center. We would stay again, it was a great place to relax.
