Ocean Breeze & Redwood Trees

We liked that it was simple and to the point. Very clean and served our purpose perfectly. It was well equipped and owner made constant contact to ensure we were doing good. Customer takes pride in their rental!

Likes: -Home within walking distance of the beach -Pet friendly -Nice backyard with firepit and Bluetooth sound system -Spacious home Dislikes: -Spa was unavailable. Hosts informed of us this prior to our stay and offered tickets to the community pool and a discounted rate. These tickets were never provided and at this point, no refund for this lack of amenity has been provided. -No internet access. Host contacted the internet company who stated they could not be able to fix it until after our stay. All the tv's are wifi enabled, which meant we could not watch tv while we were there. Members of our party had to cut their trip short because they were on a working vacation and wifi was required during their stay. -Garbage disposal was broken upon arrival. (Fixed during our stay). -The water filter in the fridge needed changing. The indicator light was on. Thankfully no one drank water produced by the fridge. -No heat. There is an electric fireplace in the living room, but it was broken. A small, portable heater was provided, but would only be enough to heat one room. -We discovered the dishwasher was broken on our second night. Called the host the next morning and was told by host that he was out of town and couldn't come by until later that evening. There was no communication that evening and the dishwasher remained broken. Our party spent a part of our checkout morning washing dishes by hand.

We stayed here so we could hike in Redwoods and it worked out great. The property had everything we needed and location was perfect. Hope to stay here again someday.

Owner Mike was very responsive and right on point. Property was beautiful, huge and was perfect for my family members. Owners definitely go out of their way to make it very accommodating and well stocked. Including outside hot tub, fire pit, both inside and outside games, crab traps, bbq, etc. Very roomy for family gatherings and fun.Plenty of room for xtra bedding for kiddos. My kids, spouses and grandkids enjoyed their stay. Very safe place, close to everything including the beach. Thanks again Mike and Stacey.

Rooms clean, hot tub was nice, snack basket was appreciated. Loved that is was located between redwood trees and beach..perfect spot. Thank you.

This was our fourth visit at this home. We love it here. The kitchen is large and easy to cook in. This came in handy as we fixed an early Thanksgiving feast for family in town. The beds are comfy and the living room is large. There are games and puzzles and lots of toys for the kiddos. My son’s favorite part is the hot tub in the large, fenced back yard. There is a bbq and also a fire pit. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Appreciated the real house plants! And the snacks on arrival were a plus! Loved being able to walk to the beach and enjoyed the hot tub. Definitely a great location to enjoy Smith River and the Redwoods. Lovely little weekend get away.

We had a great stay at this location. The home is a bit dated, but it had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the hot tub, the back yard, the large dining room and kitchen tables, board game selection, nice supply of towels and the laundry room.

This place was perfect for my family to stay. Its spacious, and it made us feel at home.

Our party enjoyed our stay here. Hot tub was great and there were plenty of toys and games and beach equipment to entertain the kids. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and utensils. The house was clean and the walk to the beach was not far at all. The host was very accommodating and had thoughtful touches, even leaving a bowl of snacks for the kids out. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

The communication with the hosts was easy, and the snacks and warm hot tub at check in were very welcoming.

Fantastic Stay. Family were able to enjoy time with each other around the fire, in the hot tub and at the beach. We did have a little hic up trying to get checked in, but we figured it out. That was no fault of our hosts. Thank you. Perfect place to stay, close to the beach & the redwoods. We will likely come again

For an older home, it was remodeled nicely. Very cozy feel with few issues encountered. Front door knob could use some repair, the TV’s don’t all work with their remotes, and the main living room TV had issues connecting with the internet. That said, we would definitely stay again!!! Mike was GREAT with communication and assistance, even when it was later in the evening. Additionally, he was accommodating to changes in our situation and even added more snacks! He made sure to get the heater going in the hot tub! Simply put, this is a definite 9 of 10 for me and I am picky! Thanks again Mike and we will likely be back in the future. Blessings!

Stayed for only 1 night, and didn't use the kitchen, so cannot comment on the entirety of the place. The toy collection was a hit with the kids. The place did smell of dogs though, for those that don't enjoy the smell.

Enjoyed the wonderful home that was provided for us. The home was so kid friendly and welcoming

We took mom, kids and grandkids ages 6yrs to 91 yrs to see the redwoods and NorCal coast. The house and yard were exceptional. Everything you could need. Wish we could stay longer.
