Ocean Beach Retreat

Location is great however house was not very clean. We were forced to buy mattress protectors as ones on bed were heavily stained and very yellow. The BBQ was very dirty which was a huge disappointment, this forced us to eat out. Taps in laundry do not work and fridge was dirty. Plenty of cobwebs and dust is a clear sign of no professional cleaning.

Everything was exactly as we expected. It was a lovely rustic beach shack and we felt very comfortable.

House was okay. Kitchen was well supplied. Beds were comfy.

Fantastic home in the best location. Walking distance to town and beach. Great backyard to relax. Great no frills accommodation. Hosts were great to deal with! We look forward to returning.

Great house at a brilliant location! Super easy to walk to both beaches, the shops, local cafes- everything! Host was lovely & we especially loved the outdooor setting- with the fire pit & fairy lights!

Great communication from host. Location good for walks, close to cafes and an easy drive to many of the peninsulas attractions.

Great location, close to Point Lonsdale lighthouse and shops. Kitchen well stocked. Comfortable beds. Great firepit area. Nice garden area for pets. The property requires maintenance. Front gate and front timber fence broken. Sliding screen door has no wheels, and hard to slide. BBQ rusted, and filthy inside. Taps in laundry don't work. Windows hard to open. Window frames damaged, likely termite damage. No driveway access from the street. Ramps inside, but we only found that out after struggling to get our trailer and car in. Informed owner about rusted, siezed gate hinge, and the response was to use force. Gate hinge sheared straight through, making it hard to open and close gate.

Excellent location! The house is very well appointed with everything you need. The house is super comfortable and enjoyable as a Winter stay. Close to everything, will stay here again.

We had another great stay at this perfect beach house! The location is excellent and is the best base to enjoy everything that point Lonsdale has to offer. This time we spent a lot of time at the Rockpools which were spectacular. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely family trip for the weekend. The house was charming and the backyard was beautiful. Great location to the main street and beaches.

Fantastic house and location.

Great location really good for a long weekend or more. Basic in some ways with some things not working and some elements of the cottage ageing so the pictures don’t reflect the state the furniture. Front gate could collapse at any time. Outside just needs a refresh/clean also.

Great old beach home in a top location

Our go to place at Lonnie - Great family accommodation - simple, clean and perfectly located with a huge backyard and entertaining deck. It’s a no frills home but perfect for school hols getaway with a comfy family space, plenty of beds and modern bathroom. Will keep coming back.

Great location short walk to the beach and cafe. The linen needed a good clean and upgrade the mattress would be good.

To start with the host, Stuart, was the most helpful, accommodating and compassionate person to deal with. We had some personal issues that required last minute cancellation and then rebooking and he was incredibly patient, understanding and kind. The location of the property is outstanding, with the beach and lighthouse across the road and some wonderful local shops and cafes that you can walk to. The fur babies loved it and so did we it was exactly what we needed and we will definitely be back!!
