Just a few miles from the home sits Jennette's Pier, one of the iconic landmarks on the OBX and a must-visit attraction during your stay. It a great spot to spend your days by the ocean, watch stunning sunsets, or even try your hand at fishing!

Beach Access: Just a quick drive or short walk from the house! Head south on Virginia Dare Trail until you reach East Dowitcher where you can park and safely cross Virginia Dare Trail at a Pedestrian crosswalk. Beach access is located at E. Small Street, which is just a few houses north.

Haven on the Banks is a total of six rental homes located in the heart of Nags Head. Each home has 4-bedrooms with access to the community's pool and easy beach access. Reserve one or even all six units (totaling 24 bedrooms!) for your next Outer Banks Vacation!

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.

Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

    We enjoyed our stay and the house was very comfortable. We felt the main living area was a bit small when the house sleeps 10. The pool was not open because we stayed in the off-season. Couldn’t take the 1 star away.

    Everything was nice during our stay. If we had to ask for anything, they were very responsive. The walk to the beach was easy and the house was located near shopping and food. We enjoyed it and will be back in the future!

    The location was perfect for visiting Cape Hatteras, Duck, Wright Brothers Memorial Museum, Manteo and the BEACH! We have visited Nags Head many times but it was the first time for my parents. We showed them all the highlights of the area. We also had downtime at the house - made dinner on 2 nights, breakfast daily, played games and built a puzzle together. Lots of local restaurants when we didn't want to cook.

    Wonderful house to stay for the weekend softball tournament. Comfortable place for two families. Great location. Right off the main road but still with a feeling of exclusion. House was very clean and well stocked. Would choose house again.

    We very much enjoyed Oak Island Cottage. The home was well maintained and well appointed. While we stayed on our own as a family, the compound was a great idea and we could see enjoying it with multiple families.
