Welcome to Nunyara - a classic, comfortable beach house in a fantastic Aireys Inlet location

Built in the 1960s, Nunyara is a much-loved old family beach house. While it retains its original charm, the owners are gradually upgrading it to offer a more comfortable stay. The facilities are simple, but a recent interior update makes it perfect for a relaxed, fuss-free family holiday.

This is a house designed for unplugging. There’s no TV—reflecting a long-standing family tradition of switching off and spending quality time together. Instead, you'll find board games, a spacious, rambling garden to explore, and king parrots to feed. And with Steppy Beach just across the road, there’s plenty of screen-free fun to enjoy outdoors.

For those who want to stream movies or stay connected, Wi-Fi is available.

Best local swim spots:

Sunnymede Beach – Dog-friendly, flat and safer at high tide

Steppy Beach – Just across the road; safest at low tide, but currently rocky

Sandy Gully – Another nearby option

Point Roadknight – A lovely, safe beach

Fairhaven Beach – Patrolled, great for families

Note: Dog restrictions apply to most beaches until Feb 28.

Additional Notes

The garden is still muddy in parts; new grass has been planted but is growing slowly due to winter conditions.

The original open fireplace has been replaced with a Coonara wood heater.

If you’re looking for a laid-back coastal holiday where you can park the car and walk to everything, Nunyara is your perfect escape.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

    The house is a great beach house and pet friendly with an 'enclosed' yard for the dog. The fence is falling over so we couldnt leave the dog outside. Good place would consider staying again if you fix the fence.

    Great location!The property had everything we needed but was quite untidy.. Whoever is doing the cleaning needs to pick up their slack.
