Finally made it after rescheduling twice and almost pushing it out again until next year. The house was a short walk to the beach. The beach wasn’t crowded. We set up our tent and it didn’t bother any of the front beach owners because there was plenty of beach. We will be returning ext year! The staff at ACP were amazing and very understanding about the 2 times we had to reschedule and when we were trying to figure out what to do when Laura and Marco turned into hurricanes, they understood our concerns and answered every question.
We understand that this property is “pet friendly”, as we brought our small dog and happily paid the additional pet fee. The house had a very strong pet odor and there were urine stains in some areas. It’s a beautiful home in a perfect location, but just because it’s pet friendly doesn’t mean it should smell like a veterinarian’s office.
Cocklebur in the driveway. Took about 2 days to learn to dodge the thorny little buggers. Picked them out of my dogs feet, my feet and our clothes. They were in the kitchen rug, door mat, bath mat, everywhere. Once you figure out the thorny situation the house is well kept, in better shape than some other houses I’ve rented on the island. Convenient to the beach, shops and restaurants. I would rent this house again as long as the homeowner sprayed for weeds in the driveway.
