Next to the park and 2 blocks to the Beach and restaurants! RIGHT side of Duplex

What a great time of the year to stay here. The weather was perfect, the trees are putting on their autumn splendor and the crowds are gone. This home is so convenient to everything. Thank you, John, for offering all the comforts of home. We’ll be back.

We had a wonderfully comfortable, relaxing stay. The property was very well equipped, the furniture was comfortable, and the location was fantastic. Very close to the center of town with easy access to the shops and restaurants, but on a lovely, quiet street with a park right across the road. The owner was very communicative before and during our stay.

Excellent location close to beach as well as park. Very clean and fully stocked with everything we could have needed. This is a historic home that has been updated, so there are some quirks due to the age of the house, but that just adds to the overall experience. Beds/mattresses were super comfortable.

While we did enjoy our stay in Cape Charles, there were several things missing in the duplex. First and foremost, there was no actual bar soap for washing at the sink or in the shower. No cups for rinsing your mouth. While there were some hooks in two of the rooms, there were no hangers provided. While the shower was nice there was nothing to hold onto. For older individuals, this would be a problem as it was for us. Cape Charles is a beautiful place.

This was our second summer staying at this location, and I cannot say enough good things about it. You will be comfortable and close to everything.

Such a fantastic location and home! We came with my two young children and my parents and we had a wonderful time! You can’t beat the location, it is across the street from the park, and you can walk to all the main stores and restaurants and it’s a short walk to the beach!

The house was a great space for our family of 5 for a long weekend stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the shared spaces were great.

This property looks exactly like the photos, is in a perfect location, and made a wonderful vacation in a perfect little beach town even better. The park is directly across the street, with an awesome greenway, nice playground, and open fountain to splash in. The beach and main row are a quick walk away. Yes, the house is old (as others have mentioned) and the owners have done a wonderful job of updating it, but preserving the charm. If little imperfections and old homes bother you, you are in the wrong town; Every house here is at least 100 years old! We had perfect weather, perfect neighbors, and the most wonderful first trip to Cape Charles we could’ve asked for. John was excellent with communication, and made sure we had everything we needed. Having the beach wagon and chairs alleviated our packing stress! We will absolutely be back to this wonderful home!

This home was perfect for our family! With a park and playground right across the street, and the beach close by it allowed us to have a great vacation. The homeowner provided kitchen and bathroom essentials that made our stay easier. The outdoor shower was a great feature to have especially for after the beach. We loved how cozy and welcoming the space was. Mostly importantly, all the beds were comfortable and provided us with restful sleep.

This was perfect for a weekend stay with friends!

We enjoyed our stay overall. We realize these Cape Charles homes are older and efforts are made to preserve them. Air conditioning worked well on a very hot week. The property could use a deep clean (bathroom in particular) and some general maintenance (loose stair railing, overgrown landscaping, loose flooring and deck boards, missing trim, etc). Backyard would have been used if there was any shade like umbrellas shown in photos. Would stay here again if some updates were made. Location is great being so close to the park.

We had an amazing stay for a wedding in Cape Charles. Property was beautiful and a great experience. We definitely plan to be back!

The house was well maintained for such an old house. Very small bathroom. I would not recommend more than 2 to 4 people stay here. The back yard was a lot smaller than we hoped. I felt overall it was a good place to stay. Maybe a little over priced in my opinion.

This is a nice quiet location but still close to the park and the restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent experience. Perfect place to stay if you have kids! Right across from the park. Home itself is also equipped for kids with a pack n play and high chair for little ones and games and arts for older. Would go again!

Great location. Older house with basics. Auto ice and water on frig not working but had trays to make ice. Overall clean comfortable.

We had an excellent stay at this property. It is an older home but the owner has done a nice job of keeping it up to date and decorated nicely. We found everything to be very clean and the beds were comfortable. We especially appreciated the fenced-in backyard, which was perfect for traveling with a dog and a toddler. The best thing about this property is the location. It is directly across the street from a park with a large playground. In one direction, you can walk to the beach in about five minutes. In the other direction, you can walk to the downtown area in about five minutes, which has lots of restaurants and shops. The area also has sidewalks if you just want to get out and walk. We barely had to use our car throughout our stay because everything is so close. The only problem we had was that the people on the other side of the duplex had a party one night with a lot of people and loud music, which was frustrating when you have a sleeping 2-year old. Despite that, we would still stay here again. The clean, cozy home and close location to everything was exactly what we were looking for.

Enjoyed fishing

We couldn’t have loved this property any more if we tried. Such a great location and in proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. We walked to the beach, for ice cream, the bakery, you name it! The park is right next door and was wonderful for young kids. Lots of room to run and a great playground! The house having games, toys and a high chair were another huge plus. We’ll be back for sure!

This has all the comforts of home! The park across the street is great for walking our dogs; downtown and the beach are less than a 10 minute walk. And, oh the sunsets! Cape Charles and 305 Strawberry are our definite home away from home.

From the second you walk into this super spacious, clean, beautiful home you will enjoy the peaceful vibe of the neighborhood yet be so close to everything you could possibly want. The owner was super responsive to any communication and genuinely seemed to want to make sure our stay was perfect.highly recommended!!!
