Enjoy your stay at 13 Lake District Lane, a newly updated WaterColor home designed for comfort and flexibility. This 4-bedroom retreat includes a separate carriage house above the garage, offering additional privacy for guests. The main home features an open living space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a screened porch perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. With multiple sleeping areas, bikes included, and access to WaterColor amenities, it’s ideal for families orgroups.



The Space:

Welcome to 13 Lake District Lane, a beautiful home close to the new WaterColor Beach Club, the lazy river and pool at Camp WaterColor, Marina Pool, Tennis, Boathouse, shops, & restaurants!



Upon entry, guests will be greeted by a well-stocked upgraded kitchen with stainless steel appliances perfect for making home-cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. The open living space and outdoor screened porch provide plenty of comfortable seating for all guests to relax after a long day. This home has an abundance of space starting with a king bed located in the master bedroom along with an ensuite bathroom on the main floor.  The second floor has two guest bedrooms - one with two queen beds and one with a king bed -  along with an alcove that sleeps two additional guests. A cottage house sits above the garage and contains two queen beds and a sofa bed with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your company.



Special Notes:



·        Amenity wristbands are required for community access, everyone 5 and older will require a wristband. When booking, please mark your occupancy with adults being everyone 5+ years old. Please note, maximum 12 wristbands can be issued per reservation, NO EXCEPTIONS.



·        Per HOA regulations, Golf Carts can only be rented from their exclusive partner, Electric Cart Company. Even when this company is sold out, other company’s carts are strictly prohibited.



·        Parking available for only 4 Vehicles on-site. Garage is available for guest use. Additional vehicles will need a parking pass (included in welcome-packet) to park in community visitor spots. Parking can be difficult, please bring the least amount of vehicles as possible.

Parties, events, bachelor and bachelorette parties are strictly prohibited. The main renter must be 25 years or older and a 25+ year old chaperone must be present for every four guests under 25. Smoking is strictly forbidden, and pets are unfortunately not welcome and subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Guests found in violation of these rules are subject to eviction with no refund. 4 Bikes come with the property and must be returned to their original positions with locks in place. Charges may be incurred for damaged or lost bikes.

    We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Even though it is in a busy area, it is next to a pretty wooded area. It was fun to walk the nearby paths, and we could quickly get to Seaside. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There were just a few minor inconveniences: 1) We did not have the correct WiFi information, so we had to get that. 2) There was a Keurig coffee machine, but I brought mine from home because the listing said there was only a regular coffee machine. 3) It was a little difficult navigating the different parties required to use the property: VRBO, the Watercolor Community (for parking and amenity passes), the Scenic Stays Guest 24/7 app (for checkin/checkout/messages during our stay), and the Watercolor Trolley app (for transportation around the property). 4) The trash bins outside had not been picked up before our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would stay here again!

    The pros of this house is the great location. The square is steps away which makes it very convenient to dining and shopping. Cons were we weren’t given door code & had to get it from cleaners. Wristbands for beach weren’t activated living room lights didn’t work One bike didn’t work

    The house was great and we really enjoyed the amenities of the neighborhood! Only complaint would be that the toilet downstairs would not work properly and also the breaker tripped and we had to fix it. Also the A/C was not working properly when we got there but the team was very quick and responsive to fix it. Other than those small issues we enjoyed our stay and loved the house.

    Excellent host! The ice maker in the fridge/freezer appliance was not working or the iron. Scenic Stays had a counter top ice maker and new iron delivered to the house the very next day! Great location for accessing Seaside restaurants and Watercolor restaurants/beach. Loved all the amenities of Watercolor. The house was clean, comfortable beds/linens/pillows. Highly recommend!

    Great location between Beach Club and Camp Watercolor and very walkable to Seaside. House is comfortable, parking was a little tight as the driveway is not deep enough for SUV’s. Overall a great stay.

    Overall, this house is fantastic -- we loved the layout, porch, location proximity to Seaside and Watercolor amenities, comfortable beds, and ample space. The older kids loved having their own space in the separate carriage house above the garage. Our only complaints are that the kitchen desperately needs new cookware (pots, pans, bakeware are all garage sale quality with Teflon coating falling off, etc.) and the ice maker in the kitchen didn't work, and the house should be better stocked with toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and toiletries for a house rental at this price point. The initial supplies of materials were the most meager that I have ever seen in a VRBO. However, fantastic experience overall.

    We booked this rental 24 hours before check in when we decided to extend our stay in Watercolor another week and the home we were staying in wasn’t available. The price was great, but after staying there, I can see why. The Good: The property management group, Scenic Stays, was awesome in communicating with us and helping us get into the home ASAP since our booking was so tight. The location is great! Close to Seaside, the Watercolor pools and amenities, and the beach. The size of the house is great for a large group or family traveling with older children/grandparents. Especially with the carriage house with its own private entrance. The Bad: - Iron missing in the main house - Ice maker didn’t work - Floors weren’t clean/mopped, the first night our feet were black after a few minutes of walking around after showering - Various lights didn’t work, including in the laundry room so it was nearly impossible to do laundry if it wasn’t fully light outside. Same out back where the grill is located, either we couldn’t figure out how to turn the lights on or they were burnt out, either way, we had to use the flashlight on our phones to grill at night. - The bikes are a hazard and should be trashed. They rattle while riding them and feel like they are just one bump shy of falling apart completely. We ended up renting bikes because we didn’t feel safe using the ones provided. - There was no water hose outside to wash up feet/beach supplies before coming inside

    We had a great stay overall, but it’s time to invest some money in new cookware (the pots and pans are ready to be thrown out), the coffee pot lid is broken, the dishwasher dry function does not appear to work, and the icemaker in the kitchen fridge doesn’t work. Additionally, I have never stayed at a VRBO that was so skimpy on supplies - toiletries, toilet paper, cleaning stuff, trash bags, laundry detergent should be supplied at this price point. Again, great stay, but attention is needed for these issues.
