Newly Renovated Haven w/ Deck, Walk to Shops, Dining & Marina, Pet friendly

Great location and could walk to town.

We arrived for check-in on a Friday night at 20 degrees outside and the house was freezing cold because no one had turned the heat up. Not very welcoming. Upon turning it up, we found out that the house does not have heating upstairs, where 4 of the 5 bedrooms are located. Two space heaters are provided, which had to be turned on at all times to keep the room at around 65-66 degrees (huge fire hazard) Two rooms remained unheated and guests had to return home because of it. Upon calling the management company, Vacasa, they say they can't help and suggest turning the downstairs heat all the way up, which made the lower floor uncomfortably hot, but did not help warming up the rooms upstairs. Then they suggest using a fan to push air up, which does not help if doors are closed. Eventually they just said they made a note of the issue, but did not provide a fix and we were left with two unusable rooms and people cramped in the other two, barely-heated, rooms. Check-out time at 10am is abusive and unreasonable (and highly enforced, by the way) Overall, while the house itself is nice enough and the location is great, it was a very bad experience. We've had similar situations in properties managed by Vacasa, so we'll make sure to only rent owner-managed properties moving forward.

The best thing about this property is the location. If you are looking for a property walking distance to the main drag in Boothbay Harbor, this property will meet that need. It is a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in Boothbay Harbor. One bedroom and bath are on the main floor and three bedrooms and one bath are upstairs. This is an older home and the stairs are a bit steep, so if that is an issue, take it into consideration. The stairs to the basement (laundry room) are also a bit steep. We ate all of our meals out, so I can't really comment on the kitchen. The kitchen does have a large table that was great for playing cards. There is a good size deck with a grill and table and chairs. The property was clean. We did not have any issues during our stay and did not have to contact the management company.

House was just as it was posted. Beds were very comfortable. We were able to walk to town and enjoy the shops and restaurants. Nice patio for coffee and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again.

The house was in a great location. Unfortunately the inside needs attention. For example, there’s a lamp on the dresser of first floor bedroom with no outlet! First floor bathroom does not have a lock! Stairs to upstairs are steep and dangerous. Very narrow upstairs hall dangerously close to stairs! I asked for a child gate to no avail. Some cookware in the kitchen was gross and rusted so bad nobody could use it. The deck table was also rusted at corners and dangerous! The basement is not a basement but a cellar again with a dangerous staircase. It was dirty and gross. This house could be so much better. I feel I overplayed for this property. Vacasa manages property and I don’t think they really care. Oh and I think they can put away the snow shovel and bag of salt from front door!!

Well appointed home, lovely views from the deck. Only recommendation: if the hottest day of the year is forecast, please have the 2 upstairs AC units installed, set up and functioning, before guest arrival.

This house is in a great location. It needs attention though. Lots of little things that are not up to expectation. Staircase to upstairs are steep and you need a safety gate at the top!! Lots of easy fixes would make this home much better.

The house was the perfect size for my family of 7 adults. We enjoyed the short walk to downtown Boothbay too.

There were four of us so we each had a bedroom. We have been friends since 1955!!! It was a wonderful getaway!

Perfect location, great for a small family- walking distance to town

The beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen was great. The house needs a different entry system (the 10 digit push pad took several times to work); kitchen was great, as were the bathrooms (except no hot shower in upstairs bath); beds very comfortable. The stairway is a little dicey upstairs.

Beautiful house in a great location. Walking distance to town and the water. House was very clean and the kitchen came with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The only things to note is that there were only air conditioning window units in 2 out of the 5 bedrooms and none in the downstairs living room area. There was a small yard, but the neighbors have “No Trespassing” signs posted all along their property line, so we did not feel comfortable going on the lawn whatsoever. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a two-night stay. And since we were so close to the harbor, it made for easy walks to the points of interest nearby; easy walk to the harbor. We could see the harbor from out the windows. We cooked on the newer clean grill. You need to sign into your own Roku account to use the TV which we did to see the Olympics.
