Newly renovated dog friendly beach cottage at Oak Island, with beach access!

The pictures do not do the place justice!!! Beautiful home, great location!!! Propane grill came in handy!!! So much room and rare to find hosts that love fur babies!!!!

Great communication with owners. Clean property, fenced in back yard for our fur baby. Everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

Property was very clean upon arrival and had all of the necessities of home. We appreciated the clean linens/towels sealed in plastic and the thoughtful welcome basket with starter items. A plus was having a fenced in yard for the fur babies. Neighbors were nice and surrounding area was quiet and safe. Super close to all of the restaurants and grocery stores on the island. Also appreciated the communication from the owner. Had a lovely trip for New Years! Thank you!

We had such a great time at this Oak Island beach house! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better. Having access to rent the golf cart to cruise around in was such a fun bonus. The owners really thought of everything—even down to extra dog bowls and a crate, which made it so easy for us to bring our pup along and the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful vacation at Oak Island. Our accommodations were top-notch. Our host and hostess were great answering all questions we had for them. They were super nice and were very helpful. It was a great experience. We loved being able to take our fur baby with us.We will be back.

Just what we needed. Perfect size, location, and amenities. Short term rental while waiting for our home to be finished. Awesome experience.

We just loved the simplicity of the house and being one floor, makes it great for us. Steve and Rhonda are wonderful hosts and this will be our go to place every time we stay on the island.

Didn’t really spend much time at the property. But it was perfect for our needs. I have family in Southport so this is close enough and yet gives us the ability to spend a short time on the beach as well for some alone time. Thank you for sharing your home. The May’s

1. The whole house had a musty smell which propagated to our clothing. 2. The scatter rugs are a safety hazard as they easily slip and move under your feet. 3. We did not have the property to ourselves as there was a boat on the property which came and went. 4. After emptying the trash cans they were immediately filled up by someone other than us. 5. Two round bowls in the kitchen had discussing stains in them so we were concerned about using them. We have used VRBO twice before and this was the worst experience of them all.

The place was exactly as described. Great location to everything! We had a wonderful stay and will look for available dates when we come back to the area! The host was very informative with everything we may have needed to know. We loved that umbrellas, beach chairs, toys, etc. were available to use!

We were in town for a wedding. This house was well located. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The fenced yard and quiet neighborhood were great… and we could walk to the beach ( or drive). Enjoyed our week! ?
