Stayed Dec 25, 2025House was very nice and the host was very accommodating. Just wish the game room was heated as the weather was too cold to actually enjoy it. Also the screened in porch area is very beautiful and again could not enjoy due to weather. Overall had a great experience and would recommend this house for any small or large groups.

Stayed Dec 31, 2025We had an amazing New Year’s stay! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and comfortably fit seven families. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Tim was an outstanding host — incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. When we accidentally left a pair of glasses behind, he mailed them back immediately. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would 100% stay here again!

Stayed Oct 5, 2025We had a wonderful stay at The Sawyer! Great House with plenty of room and lovely amenities. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed without our having to buy extra of anything. Tim was a great host, supplying extra ping pong balls for the game room, plenty of pool toys and towels, replacing light bulbs as needed, and having every incidental on hand so we didn't have to replace anything. He even went out and bought two DVD players when we told him we wanted to play some videos we had brought. Not THAT'S going above and beyond. The internet TV was great and easy to use too. Aside from our own food, everything was covered. I don't think we've ever stayed in a house that was better stocked with essentials. Would definitely highly recommend the house and the host! Incidentally, there were 15 of us, from age 2 through 76. Something to do for everyone and the pool was perfectly heated to 90 degrees! We used it and the hot tub, a lot!! Thanks Tim, for a wonderful stay! Kudos on a great job hosting.

Stayed Sep 11, 2025We had the most amazing weekend at this home! I stayed here for my bachelorette party with the intent to relax at home, enjoy home cooked meals and enjoy the pool. I had 20 of my closest friends stay. It was the perfect place for a big group! So many bathrooms, the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable with unending space. Half the fun of the trip was touring the home! The barn & firepit was also amazing for some late night fun. On top of the amazing house, we were walking distance from downtown sawyer with the cutest coffee shop, farmers market, brewery and beer garden. We were a 15 min drive from New Buffalo and 15 min from Warren dunes state park. I strongly recommend coming here with a large group of friends or family. Amazing place!

Stayed Aug 15, 2025I can’t get over how amazing this place and our host, Tim, was! Great location with lots to do nearby BUT THE PROPERTY! House was incredible - clean, spacious and accommodating but the real winner was the screened in back porch, pool, fire pit, hot tub and the game barn. Best way to both relax and have a great time with friends or family. I absolutely cannot wait to come back. Tim - thank you so much for letting us check in early and showing us around and for answering all of our questions in such a timely manner. You really made this process so much easier.

Stayed Aug 8, 2025The property is very spacious and has more than enough room for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay! A few suggestions: the barn didn’t feel very useful since that’s where the games were—it might be nicer to have them in the summer room. The lawns and trees could use a little more care, and there were quite a lot of bugs and mosquitoes outside, so some treatment would help. Guests should also be aware that neighbors value quiet, which can be tricky with such a big property and large groups. Overall, it’s a beautiful space with lots of potential for an even better experience.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Our extended family had a fabulous time at the house in Sawyer. The location was perfect. Sawyer is a lovely town with a couple of nice restaurants, a great cafe, and a really fabulous market just a few blocks walking distance. The house worked well for our extended family with lots of places to gather, eat, nap, and play. The barn was a hit with the under 25 set. There were lots of thoughtful touches (make up wipes in the bathroom, laundry bags in the garage with the super nice washer/dryers, lots of pool toys, and bird seed in the feeders. Our only issue was with the bed in the master bedroom, which was too high and soft for the 86 year old grandparents. They could have handled the bed at 70, just not now. However all the other beds were super comfortable with great pillows and bedding. I highly recommend this house!!

Stayed Jul 28, 2025Everything was amazing, from start to finish! We stayed for 4 nights as a family of 14, ranging from 1yr old to 70. The property is enormous and well maintained, and it was great for everyone to have plenty of space to spread out, yet also have a number of large, comfortable gathering spots. It's also less than 10 minutes from several nice beaches, a fruit market, a butcher shop, and tons more. The location is *chef's kiss*!The pool is absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean, with lots of chairs for lounging. It was great to have laundry access for keeping towels clean and dry -- and they even provided a TON of plush beach towels, which was a very welcome surprise! In fact, there were a number of thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket with snacks and all the makings for s'mores! The big fire pit was stocked with more wood than anyone could go through in an entire summer, too!We received a thorough tour of the property by the owner when we arrived, and it was so exciting -- and refreshing -- to be shown all the fun things we could do, rather than just a list of Don'ts like most other properties. When we couldnt find the pack-n-play, Tim was quick to assist! The hot tub is huge and wonderfully deep, which made for several relaxing evenings. The kitchen is a dream -- it had every pot, pan & utensil we could possibly need, and having 2 fridges was so helpful for storing our massive amount of groceries. I could go on & on! Looking forward to returning next year!

Stayed Jun 22, 2025We had a great time at the house. This house had everything you could need for a trip. There were throw blankets everywhere you looked if you were getting cool because the air conditioning worked like a champ even though it was 95 degrees outside. The kitchen area had more than enough fridge space with a standard fridge/freezer, but also an antique fridge that was gigantic. Additionally the kitchen had an ice maker that had no problem keeping up with the 20 people using it. All the bedrooms were very comfortable. If you plan a trip and know it is going to be in the 90's, it would be best to bring an extra fan or two for anyone sleeping on the sleeping porch. That was the one area that was hard to keep cool since it is not directly air conditioned, but again it was unusually hot for June. Finally the pool was great. it is perfectly sized for a group our size. Everyone enjoyed it and the hot tub as well. There were plenty of pool towels and access to laundry if you feel the need to wash a few because otherwise the towels were stacking up since we swam so much. This was our first time at the house and we are coming back next year. Tim was a great host and made us feel very welcomed at his house.

Stayed Jun 2, 2025It was a beautiful location! We hosted our siblings and parents for a family reunion here and it was delightful. The set up allowed for huge family meals to be prepared and served. The kids used the heated pool almost the whole time. And the adults luxeriated in the hot tub after the children went to bed. Lots of places for the children to play, adults to visit and talk and private spaces for bedrooms. AMAZING location.

Stayed Mar 29, 2025We just left The Inn, and it was an amazing experience! The house is beautiful, spacious, and spotless—big thanks to the cleaning crew! There were 16 of us (3 families, 6 adults/10 children), and we never felt crowded with so many common areas. The owner, Tim, was fantastic. He met us upon check-in, showed us around, and gave great recommendations for dining and shopping. His communication was top-notch, and he was extremely accommodating. The house had everything we needed—shampoo, conditioner, body soap in every bathroom, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and even a fully stocked coffee bar! Amazing! The abundance of towels and bed linens was a nice surprise. The kitchen island was perfect for our large group, and the Great Room was great for playing cards, poker, or coloring. The kids loved the Pole Barn with shuffleboard, foosball, and ping pong.A few of our guests did mention that the water pressure in the showers and the height of the shower heads could use a little attention, but the first-floor master bathroom shower was fantastic. We were also surprised to find the pool still under construction, though we didn’t expect to use it in March/April. Tim shared he just purchased the house in November & has plans for future upgrades. We'd love to return in summer to enjoy the pool!Overall, this was a fantastic stay & we highly recommend The Inn. Tim’s attention to detail, hospitality & thoughtful touches really made our trip memorable & we can’t wait to come back!

Stayed Nov 9, 2024WOW! Cannot say enough about this property besides our group will be returning. I came for a weekend away with 12 women and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and found everything we could have hoped for and more. The owner met us to show us around the HUGE property and made sure we had what we needed (wifi, thermostats, working the TVs, etc.). He even left a gift of local goodies and gave us great recs on nearby restaurants and hiking trails. After that personal touch, we all claimed our bedrooms and one was more beautiful than the next. Brand new, luxurious mattresses and everything from extra towels to plugs and chargers next to the beds. The house has several large common areas to hang out as a group and also has small nooks to hide away when you want privacy. We loved the option of the wood burning fireplace in the living room for those that wanted to chat while the other half of our group watched movies on the huge screen TV and overstuffed couches in the great room. There is a massive kitchen island that was perfect for hanging out and serving meals. We can’t wait to return in the warmer weather as there is a HUGE screened in porch with comfy seating and large dining tables. We can also enjoy the brand new private in-ground swimming pool surrounded by chaise lounges and tables with chairs and umbrellas. Whoever set this house up thought of everything. There is every dish, glass, cooking utensil, and gadget you could ever need. We’ll be back!

Stayed Nov 18, 2024This huge property is perfect for extended family! I rented this location as my adult children love Sawyer – the shopping, garden center, restaurants, and especially Greenbush Brewery. Being walking distance to Infusco coffee/pastries in the morning & restaurants at night was perfect for our group. My children and their families drove in from several states so the location just minutes off 94 was super convenient. The house was immaculate and the rooms and common areas go on forever. The best part was there was a huge living room for all the cousins to play, hang out, and watch movies and then an entirely different living room area for the adults to be together. You couldn’t even hear the kids with the way this house is so spread out (major bonus). We had a couple infants and there are several quiet, tucked away spaces for napping which isn’t always possible in a rental. The beautiful dishes, glassware, linens, kitchen supplies, coffee makers (Keurig AND regular), ice maker, and chefs stove were a pleasant surprise. There is a massive island off the kitchen were all 11 of the adults had more than enough space to sit and catch up. The owner left us several thoughtful, local gifts and small treats like fancy coffee pods and locally baked bread, as well as 2 cell phone numbers to call if we needed anything. The property is about 3 full lots so the kids were always outside but still in view while we hung out in the house. This is going to be an annual destination.

Stayed Oct 25, 2024As the new owners' first guests to stay in this house, we were welcomed with open arms and a great welcome gift filled with local snacks and s'mores ingredients. Tim showed us around the property when we arrived and he was available during our stay with any questions. The house has large gathering spaces both outside and inside for meals and hanging out. There are also so many spaces to go and find a quiet spot to read or connect one-on-one. The kitchen came equipped with every appliance you can think of, including well-stocked cupboards filled with glasses of every shape and size along with plates, bowls and silverware for multiple meals for our large group. Location, location, location - the house was in walking distance to Greenbush Brewery and we had a fantastic meal and drinks there. We also walked to the Sawyer Garden Center and picked up our ingredients for breakfast one morning. Most importantly, for me, it was the cleanest rental home that I've ever stayed in - from the white towels and sheets to the bathrooms - it was amazing! To say this place was magical is probably an understatement, it was perfection!
