Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located newly remodeled home. Close to Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, lots of lakes, plus much more. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly.
The house is well kept and clean, and in a nice neighborhood close to grocery stores and restaurants. The pool is great, and we spent much of our stay playing in the pool. There’s not an abundance of plates and kitchen amenities, so plan accordingly. Also, as noted in the description, there’s no dishwasher, so plan ahead there also. The one issue that left an unsettling feeling happened far prior to the stay. After making the reservation, the owner contacted me to get a picture of my family so that “we both can feel comfortable with each other” and so she could “get to know [her] guests better before the stay” (note: this was a one way request, and there was no sharing from the owner). Failure to send a picture would result in the reservation being canceled. I probed the owner further as to why, and she said it was needed because she is a very honest person but prior renters were not — implying that a family picture was necessary for us to show our honesty. (Of course, anyone could grab any picture from the internet and make up any story about who is in the traveling party, so it’s not clear how sending a family picture proves anything). After much discussion within our family we did ultimately share an actual family picture, and the owner was satisfied. (We don’t post pictures of our kids online or on social media, so this was not a trivial request.) Nonetheless, as a person of color, of a family of color, with very ethnic names, the idea that we needed to show our family pictures to make the owner comfortable and as “proof” of our honesty was disconcerting, to say the least. I cringe at the thought of what family composition would have made this owner uncomfortable. To make a long story short, don’t be surprised if (some? all?) future renters must share family pictures as a condition of rental.
I rented this property for weekend trip to a family wedding. My wife & I took my in-laws, daughter & son. We wanted privacy and quiet, that's exactly what we got. The property is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in quiet, beautiful neighborhood. The first thing you notice is the prestine front yard. The check in was effortless and easy. The house is extremely clean and orderly with plenty of room for 6 guests. The kitchen & nook are open and roomy. The living room is nice. The rooms are all well appointed and the beds are comfy. The bathrooms clean & the showers are nice. The back yard is huge with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The place is the gorgeous and clean...the hammock being is fun addition. There is plenty of privacy all around the house. A variety of stores and restaurant are not far away. We will definitely be returning to this property in future, I would like to thank Melissa for her hospitality. 5 Stars!!!!
Amazing Host !! Will Stay Again On My Next Visit.
We had two adults and three teenage swimmers. The house is newly renovated. The bathrooms have entirely new fixtures, tile, vanities and features. The floors throughout the house are beautiful. It appeared all the mattress were brand new and very comfortable. We were there in July and the AC kept the house very comfortable. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. The landscaping looks to all be new and the pool was very nice. The kitchen was missing a few amenities as this is a new rental but Melisa was super responsive and eager to make our trip wonderful. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants within a few minutes drive. Very safe and quiet neighborhood.
