Best place to stay in the cape

I have to say we were very disappointed with the property vs. the photos and ratings. The photos, though accurate, over flatter the condition of the furnishings. The furnishings were worn and bedding (pillows) disappointing. All of that could have been more tolerable if the cleanliness was better. There was an odd smell in the unit that was particularly strong and unpleasant in the 2nd floor bedroom closet. Where it counted most, the bathrooms, cleanses was not good. We paid paid nearly 500 per night after all fees (in the offseason) and don’t feel we got outr money’s worth. Other relatives stayed on the same property for less in a much more updated unit. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this property.

We just returned from a week-long stay. On the surface, the house looked nice—but once we settled in, things started falling apart. It felt like every day something else went wrong.The first-floor sink was clogged, and the hot water valve was so rusted that it felt like it might snap off when turning it. The toilet seat was completely rusted through and actually fell off the toilet. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. The freezer didn’t freeze properly, forcing us to throw away a significant amount of food. On top of that, there was some kind of alarm (possibly a smoke detector) that went off randomly, but we were unable to locate it to turn it off.Ultimately, the ongoing issues were frustrating enough that we left a night early. But hey—there were beach chairs, so I guess that was supposed to make up for everything else falling apart.

My family and I stayed here for a few days to take advantage of the pools and local beaches. The communication was quick and helpful and the place is as listed. It was obvious that the owner takes pride in his home. It was so nice and quiet, allowing us all much needed sleep after being out in the sun all day. Even the ac was quiet, which is not always the case! The townhouses were well thought out to give each unit privacy.

The place was better than expected, everything you need is there, location is great and the amenities were great, the grandchildren loved the indoor pool. would love to stay here again and would recommend it to people

We had a wonderful 5-star experience staying at this house at Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster, MA! The location is perfect, with a peaceful patio in the back, perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. The place offered easy access to local attractions. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful from booking through checkout, quickly addressing all of our questions.Before arriving, we noticed another reviewer mentioned having to make their own beds. We asked the owner about this, and they explained they've recently switched maid services that make beds before arrival. We can confirm the beds were made upon our arrival, and the unit was comfortable, with very comfortable beds, spotless and welcoming.The resort amenities were excellent, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. We highly recommend this house and would gladly stay here again.

We checked in after dinner, and after long trip looked forward to getting to bed. Beds were stripped down, and sheets were in a pile. So had to make beds, with one sheet missing. Rooms smelled musty, andusualthesome.small

First time on the cape, this location for us was great because we wanted to travel around. We drove 2.5 hours to Boston, stayed there a night, from Boston went to Gloucester, then back to Brewster. From Brewster, went 50 minutes to Province Town....loved it. The condo was perfect for us...group of 3. It takes a bit of time to drive through the resort to get to the condo. We went in Sept., weather was a bit chilly, which made the condo and bit chilly. We did not mess with the heat, but I am sure if we reached out to owner I would assume it would have been o.k. to turn on the heat. For bed snobs, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Hopefully owner will replace mattresses soon. Updates are being made to the condo, but still has some work to do to update. All in all, I enjoyed the stay and the condo/location.

Space was just a bit “tight” for 4 adults and 2 children. Altho there were right amount of beds the 2 twins for the children were in a loft overlooking the living area where the tv was which was a bit problematic at bedtime.

Second time we’ve stayed at Sinead’s beautiful Condo. Love the area and the accommodations are top notch. Close proximity to beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Communication with the host is excellent. We will definitely be back!

Had family visit from out of state so rook them to the cape for a couple of days. As has been noted the third bedroom is really a loft open to the living room below so if you plan on kids sleeping there while adults are up it may not work out. For us our baby's portable crib fit in the room with us fine so that was fine. Nice location for exploring the cape. Everything in unit was as expected. Thanks for a great stay!
