Enjoy a stay in a cute and cozy one-bedroom cabin on a pond. I built this home with the intention of living in it after my kids are grown and out of the house so I've designed it with lots of love and attention. The pond is private and all the homes on the pond are owned by me or one of my family members. The area across from the house is my families construction business and sometimes during the day, on a weekday, you will hear some heavy equipment use, but this is not often and will only beduring typical work hours. Otherwise you will find plenty of quiet seclusion here. Perfect getaway for a romantic trip or just time with family/friends.

The kitchen boasts beautiful white granite countertops, a deep set farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and all the tools and gadgets that you need to cook delicious meals. The house has stained concrete radiant floor heating throughout, giving the house a rustic but cozy feeling.

There is a full size sofa bed in the living room to accommodate two extra guests. The bedroom is a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and nightstands with cordless charging station for your cell phone. A ceiling fan keeps the room nice and cool in the summer but extra warm in the winters. The bathroom has a deep set jetted bathtub with a personally designed beautifully tiled shower surround. The vanity has plenty of storage space for your toiletries. There is complimentary face wipes, cotton swabs and cotton balls and a hair dryer. There is a washer and dryer for your use in the utility room. There is wifi throughout the home with a roku tv where you can log into your favorite streaming app to enjoy a movie night or catch up on your favorite tv series.

Because the home is situated on the water, I have two kayaks available for your use. You can enjoy some time out on the water where you can see ducks, geese, cranes and sometimes an eagle or a hawk and then you can come back to the house and sit out on the porch and grill some steaks while enjoying a gorgeous view of the water. You may also get to catch a glimpse of the young male moose that likes to come play in the water from time to time. I also have a small propane powered outdoor firepit that you can sit and cook smores over.

Property was as advertised on the onine site. House was very comfortable and well prepped with a welcoming atmosphere. Surounding property was spacious and inviting for wildlife. Awake to Canadian geese, ducks and rabbits around the property. Comfortable stay, accomodating host.

We stayed at the cabin for four nights over Thanksgiving and really appreciated how isolated and quiet the location is. It’s a great spot for aurora viewing just by stepping outside, though unfortunately it was cloudy in town during our stay. We still managed to catch a beautiful aurora outbreak by driving to Chena. The cabin itself is nicely equipped, with a modern kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a cozy living room. It’s a bit small, but the size is perfect for two people. One minor issue was that the water had a strange smell during our stay. It is something we were informed about in advance. It was a small inconvenience but manageable, and we hope it will be resolved soon.

Great cabin and location was short drive to downtown Fairbanks. Was quiet and secluded. There is a small independent gravel pit across the pond a couple of trucks and loader. Can hear them start up around 8 but not there all day. Weather did not allow us to view northern lights however appears to be great location to view. Wonderful set up for a couple.

This place was perfect! Far enough away, but close enough to easily drive to Fairbanks. House was great. We enjoyed our time here. The owner is great about communicating with you. Definitely would stay here again.

We were in Alaska for 12 days with the last five days staying at the cabin. It was a great way to end our travels as it was very peaceful, calm and relaxing! The attention to detail and the communication with the renter was fantastic!! It is in a great location for traveling to different activities. I highly recommend this cabin!!

The cabin is clean and nicely kept and had the most extensive rules for the stay and the check out/clean up that I had ever seen. We were focused on seeing the northern lights, and were disappointed that there were no north facing windows, and neighbors had numerous bright lights outside. Nevertheless, we saw the lights several times. We bought the insurance (which I highly recommend if you rent this unit). We broke a glass baking dish. Given the low cost, I texted the owner and paid for a replacement out of pocket (she also advised NOT to use the insurance). After that, she filed a 500 claim with the insurance company for damaged drywall and paint (without any discussion with me). To the best of my knowledge, we did no damage (except to the baking dish). Sketchy!

We stayed in the cabin in December. The driveway was cleared of snow upon our arrival and check in process was a breeze . The cabin was super cute and cozy . Everything we needed was provided. The floors warm. and the bed comfortable. We saw Aurora from the driveway and two moose from the window . Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The cabin was comfortable, cozy, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We chose it because it’s out of town away from the lights so we could view the Aurora. Beautiful yard and pond.

We travelled to the North Pole area to visit our son and granddaughter. Being between Fairbanks and North Pole, this cabin was a great base location for our activities. It was nicely decorated and very clean. Communication with the host was easy and complete. We would definitely consider a return stay there if/when we make it back to Alaska.
