Stayed Apr 15, 2026The perfect place for any adventure in or around the valley. Quick to all the locations which means much less curvy roads for day trips. House is super clean and comfortable. I think the king bedroom without the bathroom has the most comfortable bed. The house is in a wonderful setting, we were able to hear the stream nearby and we saw deer walk through the front door. Highly recommend.

Stayed Mar 28, 2026We stayed here for spring break 2026 and we were so happy with the location. It’s an easy 25 minute drive to the valley floor, and since this home is located within the park we avoided the daily entrance lines. The home was comfy with everything we needed. I gave four stars for cleanliness due to some minor housekeeping issues, but the response to that was quick and lovely. We would happily stay here again!

Stayed Feb 13, 2026This home is really relaxing and cozy in Yosemite West. It was very clean, the appliances were easy to use, and the directions for arrival were great. There is a nice balcony, and plenty of beds in the home. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay again.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025You cannot beat the location of this VRBO! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Judy is an attentive host and gave excellent instructions that helped us anticipate our stay; we had no surprises or problems, but I’m sure that if we did, she would be there to help solve them and to assure a good vacation in her home. We enjoyed our time in the house and had a very lovely five days in Yosemite National Park.

Stayed Nov 26, 2025Beautiful property, Judy was very nice. The kitchen are fully equipped and stocked with cooking ingredients. Make sure you really need to read the direction. One of the best location if you need to go to Yosemite Valley area for several days. Only it take 30 minutes to reach the Yosemite Falls. We will definitely book this place again in the near future.Thank you Judy.

Stayed Oct 16, 2025EXCELLENT place to stay while visiting Yosemite. Interior is spotless and very cozy to hang and play games or watch TV after a long day in the valley. WiFi (Starlink) and Dish TV was trouble-free. Kitchen has everything you need.Beds were all comfy and especially appreciate having two rooms each with King beds and high quality linens. The bunk room with the full-size bed worked perfectly for our group of 5 adults. My 80 mother also really appreciated everything being on the same floor (once the initial climb up the stairs). The Toto toilet seats were also a big hit with the group, LOL.Our host Judy was always spot-on with communication even after a quick snow storm blew through, she reached out with alternate instructions for parking when we got there (which we didn't need after all, but great planning on her part). When we return to Yosemite or just want a quiet getaway, we'lll be back. Thanks!

Stayed Oct 11, 2025Wonderful place to stay! My husband and I, with our 18 month old daughter, stayed 4 nights here and we found it to be a perfect place for families. It’s in a quiet corner of Yosemite West. They have everything you need to cook with, WiFi, and TV. They have a pack n play, high chair and ample space for our energetic girl to run around. There is only 1 set of stairs inside and they have a baby gate for that which we found to be fantastic! There were just a couple minor details in cleaning but overall the place was very well maintained.Judy is very attentive! We had an unexpected winter storm mid October and she guided us on what to do and made sure our family was doing well and safe. We would likely stay here again!

Stayed Oct 2, 2025The location of the house was perfect for planning our activities over the 5 days we were in the park. House was very clean and had a nice supply of items for our use along with a nice gas fireplace inside and outdoor gas grill and a charcoal grill. Host was very quick to respond to any questions and gave us additional information due to the government shutdown which happened before we arrived.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The house is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook almost anything. The walls and bookshelves have some fun surprises if you are a climber. The house is in a cool location that makes you feel like like your alone. It can be a little hard to find in the dark the first time, but the host provides excellent instructions with pictures.Even on Labor Day weekend, it was only 13 minutes from the house to Tunnel View and another 5-7 to the Valley Floor. The hosts are extremely accessible and helpful, even through a black out. We will definitely try and stay here again. Lastly, for those that care, this is appears to be a family's vacation house that they are sharing and not a corporate operated rental house.

Stayed Aug 6, 2025Beautiful, well-kept property on a quiet dead-end street! My family of five were visiting Yosemite for the first time to attend my niece's wedding at the Yosemite Valley Chapel. I was initially bummed that all the hotels in Yosemite Valley were fully booked by the time we started really planning our trip, but I'm so glad that misfortune turned into the fortune of staying at the Yosemite Inverness House instead. It was the perfect tranquil sanctuary to come home-away-from-home to at the end of a busy day. Also, my brother and sister-in-law decided to stay with us last minute, and Judy offered her lower private suite to them, which was absolutely lovely and perfect for them. (Thank you, Judy!) Highly recommend this wonderful property if you want a quieter place to stay than Yosemite Valley.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025We went to Yosemite a couple weeks ago; it is a beautiful valley and we highly recommend this vacation. I looked inside the park because I had heard you didn't need a reservation if you had a vrbo inside, which was true. I have adult children and teens and wanted adequate bed sizes. The beds were very comfortable which is a huge plus, and there was air conditioning which was a huge plus for my husband who cant sleep if its hot. It was well stocked with dishes and utensils and basic spices, but note, we failed to bring some condiments that needed to be cold. Make sure you bring your own. The host communicated well. She recommended bringing in our own food which we did and that was super helpful as the closest grocery store is 30 minute drive. It is a 30 minute drive to the valley floor, but we didn’t mind the drive. You can park in the Curry Village and Yosemite village parking and then use there shuttles. We loved having a washer and dryer, because this trip was linked to a wedding trip in Tahoe and we needed to wash clothes in between. I would say the only harder thing was you have to back out your car down a fire lane to get out of the drive way and the host has lots of notes in her instructions to be careful with your water usage, like try to take 5 minute showers instead of 10 minute and fill the sink to wash dishes; don't just run the water. She said they have limited water supply for the neighborhood which is understandable. Overall a great place to stay.

Stayed Jun 8, 2025Very clean and well-stocked home in a quiet corner of Yosemite West. The owner is always available and informative. The kitchen & bathrooms are particularly clean and offer every amenity. There is no traffic as this home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. Deer are walking by early mornings and evenings. Excellent home for our week's stay, and we plan to stay here again!

Stayed Oct 16, 2024Had a family vacation spent well at Judy's property. Although we reached quite late, the directions provided by Judy were immaculate and we had no issues in finding the property. The checkin process was hassle free. The property was neat and clean on our arrival. It had all facilities needed to help make the stay relaxing and smooth. Special mention would be the central heating and the heated toilets. Those were game changers considering the weather was in the low 40s. Judy as a host is one of the best we have worked with. She made sure that we always felt at home during the stay. There was a small issue with the dishwasher and once Judy came to know of this, she made sure to provide a certain amount as refund. This was tryuly a very generius gesture. We had a great time with family at the Inverness House. Thank You Judy for being a great host. We will love to be back at the Inverness.

Stayed Sep 23, 2024We stayed a couple days in late September. The house is a bit difficult to find but the directions provided by the owner made it easy. The house had everything we needed and was right inside the park so we got to see all Yosemite had to offer. It is well off the grid but the wi fi had a good strong connection. There isn’t a grocery store or restaurants nearby so come prepared to cook. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Yosemite is an amazing place and we would stay here again if we visit in the future,

Stayed Aug 18, 2024The house is spacious, well-equipped, and just works well. The kitchen has everything you could want, including many spices and things like cooking oil and coffee filters. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean, and the living room and deck are both great for relaxing. All as described in the listing and in the photos - it all just works (and Judy's instructions are crystal clear). The location works well for spending a full day out in the valley, with the 35 minute drive each way - get out the door before 9am and parking is no problem in the Valley or up at Glacier Point/Taft/Sentinel lots. At the end of a day, it's great to come back to make dinner in a real kitchen rather than waiting in a long line for the lackluster food offerings in the valley. And nice to have full internet connectivity...Starlink is incredible. All told: highly recommended.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024Fantastic Vrbo rental house! We had five family members who shared three bedrooms and two bathrooms – which was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, silverware, and appliances (including a coffee maker, convection oven and regular gas stove). The kitchen table seated six and a very large couch provided plenty of space for our family. Abode was clean and tidy and provided plenty of bathroom amenities. You also have a comfortable outside deck and grill. Even though the regular A/C was broken, Judy provided a large (temporary) wall unit that kept everyone comfortable in the low 70’s while outside was 100 degrees (heat wave in early August). You also MUST follow Judy’s written road instructions to find her rental – the roads are a maze and Google; Apple Maps and generic paper maps don’t help. Having a rental in Yosemite West is also ideal for site-seeing and hiking in Yosemite National Park. You are 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley (the most heavily visited area – Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, etc.) and 40 minutes away from Mariposa Grove to the south. You are also near the turnoff to Glacial Point (a must-visit for viewing the Valley from 3500 feet above). Plus being in Yosemite West, you get a quiet relaxing evening away from the hustle & bustle of other park visitors. Enter the park with all of your groceries for the week and you’re set. So, if a park adventure awaits you – strongly consider this Vrbo in Yosemite West!

Great to avoid gate lines every day the host even put our name in with the national Park service eliminating the need for a NP reservation. The house is as advertised, clean, comfortable spacious for a family of five we will definitely book again when visiting Yosemite.

Stayed Jul 21, 2024Yosemite west is sort of central to the park - half hour from lots of places - Mariposa, glacier point, and the valley floor. If you are like us and from a rural area this drive isn’t a big deal, however if you’re hoping to be in the thick of things and not wanting a long drive you may prefer to stay closer to the valley floor. We had some problems that weren’t the owners fault - the ac was out - it was super hot and they tried to help by bringing in a portable unit since there was no availability to change to another vrbo or hotel. It did help some but was still 78 plus in the house until after bedtime. The owner even let us stay in her private downstairs quarters which was cooler which was very kind. She is also issuing a partial refund. The record heat clearly overwhelmed the entire Yosemite west power grid - day 2 we lost all power as did all of YW! We spent all the time we could until late that night out of the house and made the most of our day. No ones fault just unfortunate circumstances but she was able to get us internet with a generator which was huge for my college kid who needed to complete some online work. Despite the rough circumstances beyond anyone’s control I will say we would come back. The amenities at this house were beyond compare. From lotion and bubble bath to spices and coffee, we were thankful for those small touches. I would say I’d love to see some beach type towels to use when we went to the waterfalls.
