Gallatin Gateway, Montana
This charming, over 100 year old cabin sits along the banks of the Gallatin River, making it the perfect fly fishing spot! With a seating area overlooking the water, the views don't get much better than this! Make sure to watch for rafters as they go by as this is a popular white-water rafting area.
As you enter the cabin, you'll find a cozy open-concept living/dining/kitchen area, complete with a beautiful fireplace and lovely rustic cabin decor. The bathroom has everything you need for your stay, including a vintage claw-foot tub! From the living area, you enter the loft by way of a log ladder that leads to a comfy, cozy bedroom space with a full-sized bed. Have a peaceful night's rest as you listen to the comforting sounds of the river.
Originally a dude ranch, Karst Camp was established in 1901 by Pete Karst. It was the gateway to Yellowstone National Park for early tourists. The camp, known as Karst Stage Stop Inn, saw up to 600 tourists per summer with 25 guests cabins. In 1937, Pete built a towrope for skiers, which has since vanished, as well as a bar and brothel for local miners. Visitors can imagine the rugged conditions both residents and tourists must have had to endure to appreciate Yellowstone Country 100 years ago.
In the summer, you are just minutes from exceptional fly fishing, river rafting, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ziplining and more. Plus, the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park is only about 45 minutes away while following the historic HWY 191 along the scenic Gallatin River. Don't miss the free concerts, farmer's markets, and weekly special events throughout the summer!

We had a great and relaxing four night stay in our cabin. The cabin was neat and rustic, with all the necessary amenities to be comfortable during September. There was a small amount of construction/landscaping that went on one morning, but the workers were friendly and we were staying during the work week. Such a cool location.
Loved the cabin! The loft was a wonderful place to sleep, the views were beautiful out back. The front, not so much. We’re assuming the mess of digging in the front is bringing a new cabin. We started out with no coffee pot but we asked for one and one was delivered very quickly. The staging of the cabin on the website was very beautifully decorated with rugs, pillows, bedspreads, chairs, end tables and lamps. But we just got the bare bones. Overall the cabin was centrally located and hope to come back soon.
The view and sounds from the riverside porch were amazing. We enjoyed the bonfire pit and river. The lawn furniture could use updating. The adults were 6'3 and this furniture wasn't sufficient. However, the cabin was clean and the location was perfect for the trails we planned to hike and day trips to Big Sky. The windows did not have screens so we could not open the windows in the evening. We would stay here again simply for the views, cleanliness and ease easy access to everything.
