New to rental market, private dock, amazing view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home. Nicely furnished. We had some issues upon arrival and the host was quick to respond. Heads up for people traveling with older guests, there are a lot of stairs to navigate which are unavoidable while staying in the home. The kitchen has plenty of pantry items...spices, oils, etc... left by other guest. There are bikes, boogie boards, kayaks and beach chairs available for use. No need to rent or bring your own. It would be very helpful to label the light switches and leave instructions on how to open and close the blinds. It took a while to navigate. The listing states that it is close proximity to the beach. We ended up driving because it’s a little further than we anticipated, especially with beach gear and coolers in tow. Having the dock was definitely a plus. We loved fishing, kayaking, and crabbing every morning. Lots of wildlife to enjoy! Bike trails at Kiawah are flat and mostly shaded. Big plus! Plenty of board games and some toys for the little ones. It was nice to have the little pool/hot tub to enjoy. The grocery store and shopping area is about 30 minutes away.

The house was awesome for our family !! We had such a great time and plenty of space for everyone. The dock is spectacular and we had everything we needed in the house! We will be back for sure!

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Kiawah for 35 years now, but this is the first time we used ESPM Rentals, and we were very pleased with their service, both before, and during our stay. The house was spectacular, very comfortable, and well designed. I have always preferred the views of the marsh to ocean views, as the marsh changes throughout the day, and 70 Otter Island has some superb marsh views. The property was clean and well maintained, and was well sited for walks to the beach, bike rides to the Ocean Course, and the general Kiawah experience. The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms well laid out, and the living area and kitchen were in a work very livable. The only caveat would be that older guests may want to ask if they could use the elevator, as the house is on three floors, with steep staircases. The dock on Bass Creek was an added bonus, as was the plunge pool. We can’t wait to return.

While we had a good time, there were a couple of items that could have been better. First, the home wasn't all that clean. (Kitchenware, to bedding to soiled furniture ... not great) Second, the house's layout is a lot of effort. i.e., stairs, stairs & stairs. Not conducive for older folks. On the positive side- Great location, nice pier to the water (saw dolphins, alligators, birds, etc.), nice little plunge pool & certainly large enough for a good-sized family. 4 stars

We had a wonderful first trip to Kiawah with this house as our base. The kitchen is equipped with every cooking pot/pan/tool that you can think of, and there were lots of spices and basic cooking oils available in the cabinets when we checked in. The dock was a perfect place to crab/fish, and as a base for kayaking. And the beach was a nice short bike ride away. Nothing to do with the house, but if you are going to rent bikes, I would recommend Alligator over VayK. Alligator's bikes were far better. The house was lovely in every way!
