The home’s light-filled main level features an open-concept gourmet kitchen, with ample seating throughout the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, where you can enjoy epic sunsets and a cozy wood-burning stove.
Step from there into the first master bedroom, which includes a king bed with river view, en-suite bath with double vanity, spa shower and walk-in closet. On the wooded side of the home, you will discover a secluded and serene three-season porch.
The lower level of the home features a king bedroom, second living space with queen size sleeper sofa, kitchenette, desk, and full bath. From the living room, walk out to an outdoor seating area facing the river with Adirondack chairs and a Solo firepit.
On the upper level, you will find a third king bedroom suite, with river view, double vanity, soaking tub, spa shower, and walk-in closet. The fourth bedroom, on the North side of the home, has twin beds that fit together seamlessly to form a fourth king bed at your option, plus a full, private bathroom. Finally, make the 18-foot-long balcony your destination for relaxation, coffee, yoga, boat-watching, bird-watching, star-gazing, and all things restorative.
The river is tidal, and the view changes constantly. It's stunning! There is no dock or direct access to the water from the property. Marston's Marina is just up the road for fishing charters.
Top quality linens, Sterns & Foster mattresses, bath towels, beach towels, dishware, cookware, lobster pot, appliances, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided, as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, cooler, firewood, binoculars, and more. Our goal is to provide everything you'll need for a wonderful vacation in Maine.
There is parking for 3 cars. 4 cars may be allowed with permission from the owner.
Please note that Nathan, the property manager (and brother of the owner), lives in the apartment above the separate garage. You may see him occasionally doing maintenance, but his goal is to be non-intrusive. He is there to help if you need him. Additionally, there is construction happening on the house next door. Our windows are new, so hopefully the noise disturbance will be minimal.
This property matches perfectly the pictures - very comfortable for our 3 generations - really a perfect layout for all. The house is well equipped with quality appliances, drinkware, and dinnerware. The furniture was comfortable. The bedding was luxurious! We also used and loved the wood stove/fireplace on the main level. We would have used the porch if it was just a touch warmer - but that was also a great space. The host was amazing and had good/easy communication. We also really appreciated the supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, coffee pods, etc. It really helped enjoy our time on vacation to not have to worry about bringing those items. It's super evident the owners care about the property and the people who stay there. Well done - we will definitley return!
The house was fantastic, comfortably and comprehensively equipped with every convenience, and everything was brand new! Close to every place we wanted to go as well.
This was a great house for our grandparents and family with young kids stay. Lots of space for everyone to be able to enjoy different activities at the same time and with so many supplies included it made travel easier for everyone. We loved the screened porch for meals and the firepit for evenings. Close to the beach and lots of restaurants. The Children's Museum in Portland was a big hit for a rainy day activity. New build so everything is new!
We booked this trip for our family vacation which included my grandparents (85 yo), My wife and children (6/8), my sister and brother in law, and my brother and sister-in-law. We stayed for 7 days and it was a perfect spot for us. The main floor master was perfect for my elderly grandparents, while the other rooms between the walk out basement and 2nd story were well spread out to accommodate plenty of people without feeling crowded. The location was perfectly centered on everything we wanted to do, whether it was go to Portland, go to the beach, or hit some quaint Maine towns for shopping and a local experience. The house had everything you could possibly think to include for a large family vacation, and the kitchen was excellent to cook in for 10 people, with everything we needed.
