The photographs do not do this property justice. It is beautifully furnished, and the kitchen is better stocked than mine. Really: who has a wok and a sandwich maker as well as dozens of skillets and pans? The beds are very comfortable, and the view of the ocean cannot be beat. If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would.

This was a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay for my family for a week but the house has some minor repairs and one of the big picture windows looking out to the water is fogged up and needs replacing. We told the manager the list, which was fairly long so hopefully they will be fixed by the time the season starts.

We enjoyed our stay at the Great Escape. We came for a quick getaway trip and the house was in a great location and met our needs. We loved we were able to access the beach easily and were close to the grocery store, restaurants and beautiful pickleball courts. Our only complaint would be to redo the back decking. We learned the hard way to wear shoes due to the old splintering wood. Besides a few splinters in our feet, we enjoyed the island property and were happy we could bring our golden retriever with us.

Absolutely stunning ocean views. Comfortably fit 6 adults, one teen and a dog. Two upstairs bedrooms and two downstairs. Each set of bedrooms shared a bathroom. The linens and towels come packaged so you will need to make your own bed. There are two grocery stores on the island. There are no beach items (like chairs) on the property so you will need to bring your own or have the option to rent them. Another thing is trash pick up is every other week in the winter so if there is alot of trash things can get very full. Luckily our week was trash week. Overall wonderful stay.

We enjoyed everything about this house.

This is our second year staying on this property. It is the perfect size for our party of 7 with an ideal layout: two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs with a large bathrooms between the bedrooms. Downstairs living room, kitchen and dining room are open with lots of space and the kitchen is supplied well. Each of the bedrooms has large televisions and the living room has an exceptionally large wall mounted television as well. The location is right on the beach and the house is close to stores, shops, restaurants, and parks. There is a walking bridge over the inlet just a short walk from the house that has relaxing views of wildlife. The back deck with chairs and a swing is perfect for sitting out watching the waves and relaxing (chairs, rockers could use updating). There is also a lower deck with an outdoor couch which is perfect for watching sunsets and sitting around with family and friends. Also mention that the outdoor shower located on the patio underneath the house is very roomy and was used a lot. Note there a hose shower on the deck as well but the shower on the patio is fully functioning outdoor shower with hot water and lots of places to hang wet clothes. Grill needs updating as well but we didn't use it.

Property was perfect for our family. Beautiful weather and love ocean front views!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The property was updated recently and was very well accommodated. Steps away from the beach, it was very easy to get our chairs and stuff out for the day. The check-in process was very simple and this was definitely the nicest property we've stayed at in Oak Island.

Great location! Very comfortable for a family of six. Clean, well maintained.
