Very nice home!
First of all, my confusion is who manages this property. Vrbo or Vacasa? Looks like it is Vacasa not Vrbo. Keeping that aside, the biggest problem with this property is Privacy. To start with an example, On a fine Sunday afternoon, I was sitting in the living room with my kids and watching a movie. Someone walked into the backyard and started peeping through the glass doors and windows. My kids were freaked out and my only goal at that time was to keep them safe from such intruders who might cause harm. With that incident, we were totally in shock and upon checking the surroundings of the home, there is no fence or any sort of partition that can restrict neighbors or outsiders to enter from front or backyard of the property. We couldn't step out and play due to that shocking incident, locked all the doors and windows and promptly left the property on our checkout date. I have reported this incident to the Vacasa point of contact and she reached out to the owner but there was no response from the owner and no action from Vrbo/Vacasa. The house itself is very old and not well maintained. The plants were everywhere to your knee height and needed a nice trim in the back and front yard.
The house is pretty good but the experience was lacking. First the good-spacious house and comfy beds and a view. The BBQ is rubbish and was filthy but we appreciated the property managers quick response to cleaning it. They needed to. Fat had not been cleaned from the BBQ in months and being that close to the home it presented a serious fire hazard. While the house is modern the adjacent properties are rather run down and the neighbors had power tools going late at night and early in the morning which was not appreciated. They also accused us of having a dog on the property which was not only untrue (they are welcome to see our kennel bill) but put a damper on our experience. As other reviewers have noted, they really need an outdoor table and chairs. And finally, the lack of basic supplies was beyond cheap. There were only 3 dish washing tablets in the house for a 4 night stay. Seemed counter intuitive as we could not run the dirty dishes on our final day. Camano is ok but next time we will stay on Whidbey. There is so much more to do there.
Thank You! This was the perfect venue for our family Christmas!
Really enjoyed the property. Spacious, clean and nicely done. Just a bit of a drive on the island to get there but worth it; we stay on the island 2x a year and this is definitely one of the nicer properties.
The location was beautiful with privacy. A challenge was using the shower, you could not run the dishwasher, handwash dishes or use the other shower without the HWH alarm going off. Comfortable and cozy with the fireplace. Would recommend if you don't mind the HWH.
The place is great- but the kitchen sink n drain were awful n the shower curtain in the guest bath were moldy the faucets looked like they were never wiped down. It looks like it was all redone except those items I mentioned
only warning is they should show pic of stairs to entrance as we had a elderly 90 yr old that could not manage them ! otherwise top shelf
We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was very clean and nicely furnished.
This property was absolutely beautiful. House is well taken care of and stocked with everything you need.
