New Home On Rural Eastern Shore Farm

Owners very responsive and went out of their way/over the top to correct small issues. Nice location and relaxing country setting close to everything, but away from crowds.

Our stay here was good! We had four adults, three kids, and one dog and there was more than enough space. The property is quiet and the yard is huge. We wanted to use the outdoor fireplace but didn't have time. The host brought us over a big steamer pot when we said we might get crabs. My only issues were fairly minor - the blinds in many of the bedrooms are not great. Some were broken and couldn't be raised/lowered, and they are fairly transparent and let in a lot of light (especially early in the morning). A lightbulb in the downstairs bathroom shower was burned out. For a house that can sleep so many, additional silverware would have been welcome (we were washing forks and spoons way too often). A rimmed baking sheet or some new nonstick pans wouldn't go amiss. But otherwise it was a great place for a group to gather. Thanks to Merle!

Property was very spacious, and had everything we needed for our family of 12. Quiet surroundings were appreciated, and features like the fire pit and yard were enjoyed by the kids in our family especially.

During our 3 day stay, 4 of the guests got severely sick from what we believe was the water at the house. The house used well water and sits on a large farm. The owner should get the well water tested for contaminants. As stated in other reviews, the house could use a deep cleaning. Cobwebs throughout and some of the bathrooms barely have any water pressure. The kitchen supplies, while numerous, don’t have a lot of the necessary everyday items such as measuring cups.While everyone was asleep, the smoke alarms started going off at 2am for no reason. Some alarms wouldn’t stop even while unplugged. Lots of room and beds for larger family. Easy check-in and checkout.

Merle's vacation house gave us another priceless summer memory with the family. Everyone felt at home, which was so important. The beach time with everyone, especially the grandkids, brought so much joy—their smiles alone made the trip unforgettable.

The house was perfect for a girl’s trip. It slept 9 of us very comfortably and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. This is our third year and we’ll be back!

It was perfect size for our large group and host was very nice. They allowed dogs which was a lifesaver! Cute home and area. We would love to come back.

This house & location was perfect for my family, although we spent most of the weekend doing wedding things, it accommodated us perfectly. Plenty of space & clean!! Thanks for helping in making our weekend wonderful!!

We stayed two nights at this place. It was quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we need it. Kitchen had what we need for coffee and liquids all good. If you ask me what would I change it would be the bath in the 3rd floor shower wise way too small. Other than that all good.

For the amount of space and location this property satisfies all expectations. The owner was available as needed for any questions.
