Each level has its own entrance and outdoor space, with the upper floor adding a rooftop observation deck. Together the residence hosts up to eighteen guests across nine bedrooms and three full kitchens. Refined coastal finishes and thoughtful craftsmanship set the tone for a shared address that preserves privacy for larger families and friend groups. Near Thames Street and harbor access.



The Space:

Sancerre reflects its namesake’s refinement with thoughtful design and balanced composition throughout three self-contained levels. Each apartment mirrors the next with navy tile, marble counters, and brass accents in open kitchens that connect to inviting living and dining areas. Private outdoor spaces extend from every floor, and the top level adds a rooftop observation deck with harbor views.



Each level offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, along with a discreetly enclosed laundry area. Bedrooms are arranged with two queen beds and one full on each floor, providing comfortable accommodations for up to eighteen guests in total. Bathrooms carry marble accents and classic coastal finishes that echo the home’s understated elegance.



Mornings begin with a short walk to Corner Café or The Coffee Grinder on Bowen’s Wharf. Spend afternoons exploring Thames Street boutiques and local galleries, or take a sail from the harbor nearby. Evenings bring a choice of Brick Alley Pub, Clarke Cooke House, or 22 Bowen’s for memorable Newport dining before returning to the calm of Sancerre’s upper decks.



The Neighborhood:

Sancerre is steps from Thames Street and within walking distance of Bannister’s Wharf, Bowen’s Wharf, and King Park Beach. The Cliff Walk, International Tennis Hall of Fame, and the Bellevue Avenue mansions are close by, while Easton’s Beach and Newport’s coastal trails are only minutes away by car or bike.



Getting Around:

Getting around is easy and enjoyable. Most of our homes are located in residential areas where you can walk, bike, ride a scooter, or rent a golf cart to explore. The islands are relatively small, and with a 25 mph speed limit on most streets, the area stays safe, family-friendly, and relaxed.

This listing is for the entire home at Sancerre. The residence is divided into three private apartments, which may also be rented individually. Contact us for details on reserving a specific floor or apartment if you are a smaller group.



One vehicle per guest is permitted. Parking is available in the lot at the top of the street, across from Emmanuel Church, in the spaces marked for resident parking. A parking placard is provided for your stay and must be displayed on your rearview mirror while parked. The placard must be returned before departure to avoid a replacement fee.
