Nestled in the pines, this retreat is a great option for your Tahoe trip! Bring the whole family to this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home that sleeps 10 and has parking for up to 4 cars. This owner completely remodelled the home in the Spring of 2022 so you’ll be staying in *almost* a new house. There is a new kitchen, new bathrooms, flooring, paint, furniture, bedding and more. This home is tri level so upstairs is the master suite, half bath and main living area and then downstairs are the 3 other bedrooms, pool table room and hot tub deck. We aren’t sure why this home has lower reviews :( We are trying our best to boost this home’s rating. If you could help us out that would be hugely appreciated for the owner and us. Welcome to any and all feedback :).

TAHOE RENTAL ORDINANCE
The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come!
1. The hot tub cannot be used after 10pm (if this home has one)
2. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
3. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box.
4. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
5. We cannot accomodate extra cars, parking on the street or dirt.
PLEASE NOTE: Neighbors may alert the police who will issue fines to guests found to be in violation. In order to protect this owner’s permit we do reserve the right to ask guests to leave this home. This is a very rare occurrence and one we hate doing so we do our best to warn our guests before it comes to this.
WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY
A typical storm in Tahoe can drop anywhere from 1-3 feet in 24 hours so if you haven’t been to Tahoe during a heavy Winter, please take note. The roads and driveways in Tahoe are only plowed when snow accumulates to more than 6 inches so if it snowed less than that or you are coming during an active storm, you will arrive to snow on the roads leading up to this home and on the driveway. Since street parking is not allowed during the Winter, you will need to drive over the snow either using chains or with your 4WD engaged (or both) and onto the driveway. Especially after the historic Winter of 2023, we do not recommend coming to Tahoe unless you have a higher clearance 4WD vehicle with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Always bring chains no matter what kind of car you have. Even if it’s not actively snowing, Tahoe roads are steep and icy. Power outages are also common. The Grand Welcome difference is we have a very experienced local team who are here to help you during your stay – as long as safety allows. If we can get to you, we will come help! Not all hosts have this kind of local support so this is the benefit to booking a Grand Welcome home!
IMPORTANT INFO
- QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD: In Tahoe it’s so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop! As a result, we can only host quieter groups that will abide by all of the county laws. Our guests are normally fine as long as they head inside or to the casinos after 10pm. Appreciate your cooperation!
- KEEP TAHOE BLUE: Please help us keep Tahoe a natural wonder by appropriately disposing of trash when visiting our beaches and trails. If you pack it in, please pack it out.
- REVIEWS: We kindly ask for understanding and compassion when sharing feedback about this home, just as we strive to approach responding to reviews with empathy. We understand that experiences can vary, and what might not meet one person's expectations could exceed another person’s expectations. Your reviews have a lasting impact on the home and its owner, who are real people behind the scenes. We genuinely value your input and appreciate constructive feedback that can help us enhance our offerings.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.
- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use!
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Unless otherwise specified there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- STARTING SUPPLIES: We provide a STARTING set of supplies which includes 1 roll of paper towels, 1-2 rolls of TP per bathroom, etc. Depending on your parties usage, you may need to buy or bring more. Our local team is always on stand by as well.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom. We do this to limit laundry for the cleaners and it’s less wear and tear on the washer/dryer. If you feel you will need more towels, please bring them. Hot tub and beach towels are not provided.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes.
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty it’s just apart of mountain life. Please let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.
Thank you and happy travels!

This is a huge home with lots of light, very elegant, open, and upscale. A little chilly vs. cozy. However, a generally hostile environment. Everything we asked for from the management company they immediately said no to, no interest in truly hosting us or making us feel at home. Couches were covered with those weird pads that movers use for protecting furniture, like, Don't actually use these couches. They're for show. They gave us 4 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 4 days, and when we asked for more, they gave us 4 more rolls with a terse little note saying that based on the number of people we *said* we were bringing (implication: we were lying) this is all we should need. So we had to buy our own, plus paper towels etc. Both ice and filtering on fridge needed maintenance, showing red lights. Hostile signs all over the property threatening us with fines if we were loud, or in the hot tub late, or this or that. Accordingly though, neighborhood was dead silent throughout our stay. For a couple or individual this would be nice. But this is a very big house, so people who rent it are likely to want to be social or bring a big group. I was constantly shushing our teens even indoors, out of fear of being fined. Small thing that added up: loud landline in the house rang often and scared the crap out of us each time. On the plus side, huge fun beautiful meadow nearby for playing in the snow. Note that you'll want to bring chains. These are side roads and snow did not get cleared, nor salted so driving on them in their icy state was scary. (Snow was unexpected and we left our chains at home.) 10 or so minute drive to lots of amenities. Beautiful house, neighborhood, and street. Just stressful and frosty, pun intended.
This was a great property for our 3 generation family get away.
My family and I enjoyed this house so much! It’s beautiful inside and so large and has so many great things in it. Mattresses weren’t too comfortable but other then that it’s a wonderful place to stay. We will be staying there again.
Not necessarily the property Management's fault here, but there were lots of warnings of fines for everything. Do the trash wrong, fine. Talk a little too loud after 10pm, fine. Use the hot tub after 10pm, fine. Park too many cars, fine. Luckily, we managed to avoid any fines, but I must say it doesn't exactly make for the most comfortable or relaxing stay. There were a few things that added to the anxiety that were directly related to the management though. The check in and out process is extremely rigid. My friends had to wait outside for 10 minutes because the keypad on the door is designed to update at the EXACT time of check-in. The cleaners were gone, the house was empty and ready, but still we had to wait for the robot door to let us in. We even called the management company and they basically told us too bad, you'll just have to wait. Actually, most of the conversations with the management company were pretty robotic and impersonal. (Lots of scripted responses.) On top of that the roof had a 10 thick sheet of ice ready to crash down onto the hot tub at any moment, and the deck/grill was completely unusable as the snow had never been cleared. (Mind you it hadn't snowed in Tahoe for almost a month when we went. Even their glass patio table had about 2' of ice on it.) Anyway, nice house, but issues with the management of the property. Oh, and bring your own hot tub towels/robes. The house only provides bath towels.
While we enjoyed the house, we had a few issues. First, the garage is very small and shallow. We arrived with two vehicles (a truck and a large SUV), but both vehicles could not fit in the two car garage. Due to the length of the vehicles, it was extremely challenging to park a single vehicle in the garage - no way we were getting two vehicles in the garage. Second, the dryer did not work the entire time we were there. We called the rental company who sent someone out, but parts had to be ordered. On a positive note, the rental company offered to come by and dry our wet ski clothes, but they couldn't return them before we needed to leave for skiing the next morning so we passed on the generous offer. Third, the hot tub was set to 85 degrees, which was not ideal. We turned up the temperature, but we were unable to use the hot tub after our first day of skiing. Last, some of the rails on the pool table are broken - the balls would not bounce off the rails.
This house is in a great location and perfect for a family get together. My friends and I would definitely consider coming back to this house.
we love every bit of time in this vacation because of the great property, only missed the shampoo and soap in bathrooms.
Great location. The noise travels even when you're hanging inside and there is apparently a fine for noise anytime not just after 10pm of $1,000. Got a text to be quiet from management when we were inside playing foosball. Seems a little excessive when you are inside but have to have the windows open for the heat that they would send you a noise text. And we literally weren't that loud or stayed up past 9pm because we were tired. Also/ there is no central air conditioning which may not be a problem in the fall or winter, but in the summer when it's HOT we were literally sleeping with fans blowing directly on us. Also, we couldn't keep the windows open all night for a breeze because of the fires and the smoke/air quality level. Asked for updates on this before we arrived and was told they would not call us we needed to call them which we did. Again, for the summer months, probably won't stay here again although it was a very nice house with lots to do and good location.
Property was very functional, clean, well kept. Culinary supplies more than adequate for meal prep and serving. Thanks for having the coffee there as we didn’t get to store before arriving so was great to have that wonderful cup of joe on the deck first morning. Neighborhood is quiet and serene. Thanks.
